HI all,
is there fellow members here who use Ninjatrader and Esignal data feed?
Esignal's data isn't bad (much better and complete than say IB's). However, Esignal's current API is 32 bit only. That means it won't work with NT7 64 Bits.
I have written to Esignal, but they have not ETA. If there's anyone who is using the nt7/esignal combination, please let me know. Perhaps with more voices, Esignal can get it done quicker.
Best regards,
Jack
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I would think the limitation is with Ninja rather than esignal as esignal works just fine with MC 64 bit. So probably contacting Ninja might be a good idea rather than contacting esignal.
PS: Not sure - which version of esignal API is used by MC 64 bit though.
It is possible to run ESIGNAL Datafeed in a 64bit environment of IB TWS, you need to copy the dbcapi.dll from "\Common Files\Interactive Data" to the JTS folder of ESIGNAL. So in my opinion it is not a problem of Esignal. I tried to replace the dbcapi.dll in NT 64bit, but this does not solve the problem.
Maybe Steve, but until now Its Ninja that have so far refused to support the eSignal 64 bit I/F that has been around for ages, I think because they have given priority (technical and marketing) to Kinetic (aka IQFeed). I still use eSignal 32 bit and Ninja 32 bit but would like to have a NinjaTrader supported switchover, not urgent though, stuff still runs like the wind for me.
