Investor/RT 10.5 is now final. We are currently on build 10.5.5 and you can downloaded the updater here. If anyone has any questions or issues, please post to this thread. You can read about What's New and I am adding 10.5 Videos daily to demonstrate how to use some of the new functionality.
Nice "new" tickbased range, change, renko settings... 8months before i have you mailed this as good advantage
Since middle of last year i have stop my short IRT subscription... last year i switch to NT7, it's give more "hardcore" programming potential... Currently i port the functionality of your good universal VolumePriceStatistics(VPS) 1:1 to NinjaTrader... now i do also add your currently new VPS features
But can you do the same with MTF on the same symbol in relation to studies? For example, with Sierra Chart, if I overlay a 12 range moving average on a 6 range chart, historically on the 6 range chart I only see the 12 range moving average as of the close of the bar on the 12 range chart, not where there 12 range moving average was at the close of the bar on the 6 range chart. I hope this makes sense. This makes MTF analysis quite difficult, because you have to run a replay to see the correct results and they are lost if you refresh the chart.
I'm not sure what MTF stands for, but with our MPD Indicator, you can apply any indicator with any periodicity, to any other periodicity. MPD stands for Mixed Periodicity Data. You can find more information on MPD here. And MPD has been redesigned recently to be very efficient.
The new "Align to Master" (ATM) option takes a different approach than MPD. The bars of an ATM symbol are completely controlled by the periodicity of the master symbol. The ATM symbol simply aligns the activity that occurred on the secondary symbol with the time it took for the master symbol to build each bar.
I saw VPS here, as VolumePriceStatistics, but I have a question about using IRT on a VPS, as Virtual Private Server.
It seems IRT can't be used on a machine which have Remote Desktop enabled, something like that, can @LS Chad can confirm this ?
I can confirm that, as I ran into the problem. If I remember correctly, it can't be run on a Server OS at all (ie Server 2008), nor can it run on Windows 7 with Remote Desktop.
I have MarketDelta (IRT its the same base) ruuning on a hosted server with only RemoteDesktopAccess.
Its need only manual patches of the config for locate the Programm and (User)Datas.
The base is a local config with a common not user based database config. (needed changes documented by IRT)
Install IRT/MD on the server, use the same non standard directorys equal the local installation.
Now manual copy all loacl config and database files to the same directory on the server OS (overwrite all existing files)
This is all, now run IRT/MD with RemoteDesktop or on the Console on a Windows2008(R2) WebServer
(IRT say this is not licensed... please do this only as proof of concept...)
