if you're liking patters look into 2 / 3 bar reversals in the intraday trend. Of course you need Pivots, MP and prior swings as context for do and dont areas.

On a 233 or 144 volume 3LBW looking for a good indicator that gets one in on the first bar of the new swing but effectively filters out at least some of the "bad" signals. The current indicators I am using confirm the swing very late in the swing (3rd - 5th bar) when the scalp move is usually over. Any suggestions?

you could try a heikin ashi candlestick setting on your desired time frame. it might filter out some of the whipsaws.

Best advice I can give is to read here:

You'll at least know where I stand after reading that thread.

I'm sure someone else can give you recommendations on the indicator you are after.

Mike

You're such a spoilsport Mike. What harm could another innocent little indicator do on the way to the Grail?

Additional "holy grail" analysis searching.....

When buying a pullback to a moving average are there any indicators anyone uses to help better filter whether the pullback will honor the moving average and reverse OR keep going.

I've tried to use the following as filters: d9, stochastic, RMI, MM lines.

Any other indicator filter ideas?

Thanks again!
