futures.io (formerly BMT),

I’m wondering could anyone share their experiences with TradeLink (https://code.google.com/archive/p/tradelink

Its implemented in C# and is open source.

Or does anyone else know of something equivalent?

Thanks and regards,

drolles

I tried it a long time ago, and was not able to make it work as expected.

Guys,

Thanks for the reply.

So if I understand correctly TradeLink pretty much came out on top of the open source discussion.

@sam028 – how long ago did you try it? Do you feel they have moved on the platform on significantly?

Thanks and regards,

drolles

I tried it recently and had several issues getting it to work with anything I tried. I tried directly from svn sources though, so maybe that was the problem. When I get some free time, I plan on trying a few connections again to see how it is.

we recommend that unless you're sophisticated user, probably shouldn't build from source.

the binary release has an installer and is what most people use.

All,

An update on Tradelink – after many frustrating hours of attempting to get it to work I just couldn’t. Possibly I’m not the target user group.

I’m wondering if I could gather some views. I’m leaving NT for something else. I’m after something that works in C# and can plug into a industry weight IDE (e.g. VS).

I’ve come across RightEdge ( Trading Systems, [AUTOLINK]Backtesting[/AUTOLINK], Technical Analysis, Indicators) in the search for something new. Has anyone used it? Would anyone like to share their experiences? I’ve found some old threads on futures.io (formerly BMT) dating from 2009 on it, but nothing recent.

I’ve also found this plug-in rightedge-oanda-plugin - Oanda Plugin for RightEdge - Google Project Hosting for the Forex broker OANDA - Forex Trading and Exchange Rates Services

Thanks and regards,

drolles

Tradelink,

Thanks very much for that.

Unfortunately, also there was some basic functionality not there e.g. optimisation frameworks.

Please don’t get me wrong; I really, very much hope that your project will mature. I think it is an excellent idea – along the lines of RedHat.

I did post many times, the support was helpful – thank you.

Kind regards,

drolles
