Hi guys. I'm based in the UK and currently use ThinkorSwim. Within the platform is functionality that allows you to create ratio charts. Following their takeover by TD Ameritrade they will no longer be providing brokerage services within the UK (from the 22nd August). This means very shortly I will no longer have access to all of the indicators I created (and need for my trading).

I need to switch brokers by 22nd August but it must be to one where I can create ratio charts. There may be platforms that can plot simple ratios but I need one that can plot more complex ones.

for example;

(CL/DX) / (AUD/JPY)

or

(CL/ES) / ((AUD/JPY)/(ES/YM))

Please help me out here guys!

It's a simple indicator for NT.

Really? I don't have any experience with other platforms/brokers. Is that Ninjatrader? I was thinking of switching to Mirus futures but.....I may need to buy a PC. I only have a mac right now...

So if I were to do that can you chart an indicator on it's own, or does it have to be an overlay on an existing chart?

Thanks

I believe Sam is referring to a correlation indicator. There is also one built-in to MultiCharts.

Check here:

and possibly:

Right, this one will do the job for @PositiveDeviant.

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of opening an account with Mirus Futures, and I'll be looking to use NT with Zen-Fire. These scored highest in the 2010 futures.io (formerly BMT) awards (futures category) so I'm sure this package will be very good.

It does look like I'll need to become acquainted with programming my own indicators. Although it doesn't seem like it right now this is probably a blessing in disguise. The data-feed on ThinkorSwim over the last few days has been very bad and I've had historic issues with the data I use to calculate my indicators.

I'm quick on the trigger!

As for ratio charts, a lot of platforms do that. IRT can, and I assume Multicharts, Esignal, AmiBroker and what not, can do it too.
