has anyone 'coded' or constructed an MT4 chart that displays regular trading hours only -
that is price bars from 9:30am - 4:15pm EST only
attached image is 5 min charts via NinjaTrader:
top is the 6E Euro FX futures contract - 23 hour day
bottom is the 6E Euro FX futures contract - rth
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Maybe I'm missing something, but the overwhelming vehicles traded via MT4 are spot forex, and it's really a 24hr affair, with 3 global related trading sessions. There are indicators for MT4 that will visually highlight (on the chart) the various sessions, and other indicators that will mark those sessions's opens/closes, and potentially DPPs and some other variables. But, I have never seen anyone construct an indicator that would only show a spot currency pair during specific hours; it could be done, by creating an offline chart to read the price data for a time period range.
Again, perhaps I am misunderstanding, but the 6E (or any futures or spot currency pair) is not something I would want to view solely 9:30-4:15 EST, as I'd regard it lacking incredibly important data, and missing the overall path travelled; 'regular trading' hours in London (for example) are quite different, and I would submit more important for a pair like EURUSD or 6E.
the 6E is first a USA futures contract
regardless that spot fx is a 24x365 market - Oanada and that I'm not looking for an
indicator, perhaps I have a trading strategy that's based on the USA rth only - that
is the pit trading hours, and would like to execute the strategy in mt rather than nt
but no one has provided a solution here or other forums so don't think at present I
can use mt
