I have recently decided to use esignal and i have some questions. and i need a suggestion on which broker to choose.
1. Can you please suggest me of the broker/s that has the fastest and most reliable execution of trading orders with esignal?
I am trading on the CME futures and using automated trading with esignal.
2. I understood that the connection between esignal and the broker in automated trading is made by a plug-in.
my question is: while making a market order (using automated trading), is it possible that there will be a delay from the moment esignal gave the order until the broker sent the order to the CME?
if there is a delay, how long can it be? is there a way to trade automatically with esignal without a delay?
3. Are there any bugs that can happen because of this "plug-in"? like: is it possible that the broker will send the order to the CME on a different price than what i wanted in the esignal charts? any other bugs possible??
Thanks alot in advance!!!!!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm a bit confused. Your profile says your platform is Sierra Chart. Are you looking for a platform that supports eSignal as a data feed? Or are you intending on using the eSignal charting application?
I was using sierra chart until recently. but their data feed ruin my strategies.
esignal's data feed is perfect for my strategies, and i decided to start using it. but then i find out it does not support automated trading.
so now i am checking multichart because esignal is one of their data feed providers.
Do you have any suggestions on a good program with esignal's data feed?
Is it possible to use automated trading using esignal? if so, how?
I haven't used eSignal in about 3 to 4 years, but I didn't even know their charting application supported any kind of trading (manual or otherwise). It's just charting.
Using the eSignal data feed in another platform is a different story of course. I know NinjaTrader supports it, as well as MultiCharts. Not sure about other platforms.
To be honest, eSignal is not a very popular data feed for futures traders. I would definitely recommend DTN IQfeed over it, having used both. IQFeed is also almost universally supported on any major platform, because it is generally regarded as one of the best. That includes Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, and MultiCharts, among others.
There will not be a delay in the execution of your market order if you trade within eSignal, the list of the partner brokers for eSignal can be found on the eSignal website. Click on Solutions on the home page then trading integration. If you have an account with one of the brokers with a check under the column CME data fee waivers, you save on monthly exchange fees. I cannot recommend a broker.
