What trading platforms can you use on a Mac?

I read a forum reply listing three platforms that can be used on a Mac. I've been unsuccessfully hunting for that reply. Any ideas? Thanks.

Firetip runs natively on Mac, see the thread on Firetip here. It runs on Mac or any other OS 'cos it is a Java based software. Any Java or Web based platform would run on Mac.

I've been able to successfully install and run SierraCharts on my Mac but in a VMwareFusion virtual Linux machine (I suppose you know what I mean) environment, have a look at here and here. You may wish to know that SierraCharts runs on Ubuntu too, see here.

Lolu mentions VMWare which i have no experience with personally. I use Parallels with XP installed on my mac to run whatever trading program I want. If you don't want to pay for VMWare/Parallels there's also a free program called Virtualbox that works very well. You just have to get your hands on a copy of Windows then.

Sorry i can't post any links, don't have enough posts here. Google is your friend

Just use Boot Camp?

IMO, the best charting platform for macs is Investor R/T with IQFeed...

I may be wrong but I thought with Boot camp you literally have to choose which OS you boot at start up? With the programs i mentioned above you can run them within Mac OS and have the best of both worlds.

The setup I have is my laptop running Mac OS and parallels with windows sent to an external monitor. Works pretty well.

Another consideration is Thinkorswim platform. It has a MAC version.

Well, I find it much better to boot Windows 7 when trading, I am skeptical of running trading programs through Parallels. That's just me, though....

IRT runs in Mac OS X....

Tradestation on Windows XP using Parallels. I have about a dozen charts opened at a time. No issues.
