As discussed in the main OEC thread, one with an OEC equity account can get this data from OEC, plus for the NASDAQ and AMEX...
Can someone provide this NYSE cumulative tick data from OEC today (May 10, 2011), 5 min? I currently get this through TOS, but that data seems not accurate as compared to CQG's as provided by another poster in a different thread. Please see attached for reference.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
pbeguin, I noticed that you managed to get a chart of NYSE TICK data on your Open ECry platform. I have been trying to do this for a long time without any success. I have even asked Chris Micciche in customer service this, but he said it was unavailable. Can you help me out here. How did you get that data up on your chart, and what do I have to do to be able to get it on my platform.
I trade the FTSE futures over here in England, but the afternoon session is influenced by the ES and for that having access to TICK data would be useful.
Any help would be appreciated.
All the best
Martin
ps I typed TICKN into the quotes screen and it came up with nothing.
From the Tools menu, select Symbol Lookup. Then make sure you check the Indicies checkbox on the left under All Equities. You should now be able to find all TICK symbols through the symbol search function.
You can achieve the same through the Add Symbol button in the quote window.
I only have this on my demo account though, where I have access to futures, forex and equities. I don't have it on live where I only have the futures, so having an equities enabled account is critical for this.
Many thanks for replying. I have the Equities box ticked on my Demo platform but it only brings up futures contracts. I have an email into OEC asking what it takes to include equities on my futures account. I will let you know if I am successful.
