The SPAN minimum margin is $402 for the CL Jul 75 put. It's $336 for the 120 call.

SPAN is the minimum margin set for all commodities and all FCM and brokers. Some places charge more than SPAN minimum. None should charge less.

I use OX, ADM, and OEC but I have the SPAN program to calculate margin.

Actually...I just started looking at the weekly mini-500's last weekend. Still 'studying'....

But...remember that the e-mini is the stock market and there is a lot of emotion riding this bull. My 2 cents is that there is a lot of volatility on the sidelines and I would be very cautious about which way I would want to enter this index. My thoughts are that right now it might be better to day-trade options on this one versus holding until expiration. Selling options on this market is on the extreme back burner for me at this point....

Good thread. Sold 2 cl june 105 calls yesterday. Seems to be a problem at the broker about margins. What would be the span on these in your opinion. bought 1 further out to deal with the issue. new account so might not be the right outfit. Thanks for your help

SPAN minimum margin is $1848.

That is an extremely risky trade. Not something I would ever do. Be careful.

Im looking at /CLM3,

50 DTE, delta of -.02; credit of $335 (after commisions), reducing buying power effect by $2450--this is on TOS platform

any thoughts?
