Currently I hold the following positions in the short options portfolio:

LHM P66 / C80
LHQ P64 / C84
Longterm trades.

LCQ P106 / C140
LCV P100 / C136
There were (and still are) good entry points because of the high volatility after the recent strong move upwards. In my opinion, the highs are in, and LC prices will move more or less sidewards. But there will be strong moves upwards and downwards.

CCU P1700
Intend to take profit at 50 %. (Took profit on the CCU P1600 at 50 %)

CTZ C90
Intend to take profit at 50 %. Good marketings, but very large new corp not only from the US.

NGU P2.6 / C4.25
NGU P2.6 / C4.5
NGV P2.55 / C4.5
I have a lot of confidence that NG will move more or less sidewards for some weeks. Took profit on part of the NG positions.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Bought back the CTZ C90 with a profit of 50 %.

Intend to sell again at a higer price level (approx. 75) if given the chance.

Best regards, Myrrdin

very interesting thread, btw I systematically sell strangles on weekly options on EUR, AUD and JPY. Anyone else is doing it? On commodities?

No, I rarely sell options on currencies.

But it would be interesting to learn about your concept.

Best regards, Myrrdin

every Friday I sell a strangle and I wait the weekly options to expire. If one of them goes ITM I am gonna buy/sell the future to protect the option. Most of the times the options expire, sometimes I am forced to buy/sell the future, sometimes after I bought the future it goes against me so I am forced to stop it, but in the end it is a profitable strategy.

I calculate the strikes based on my own algorithm, then I use a stop loss on the future based again on the strangle interval.

I may be totally wrong, but when there is a huge drop like today in CC, sometimes there is 1 or 2 days more of drop of the longs exiting. We'll see this time.

I checked some large drops of CC in 2017. Often there was no more large move downwards, and volatility probably dropped. Eg. January, 11th, 19th, 26th, February, 28th. Prices went further downwards after the move on April, 7th.

But I am aware that CC price could move further downwards. This is why I prefer the December contract to the September contract.

Just sold half a lot of the CLZ C65-C75 at 0.32 .

Seasonals are bearish for recent years, especially for the most recent years with a high US production.

COT data is neutral to slightly bearish.

In addition I intend to sell some CLZ C70-C80 if given the chance to do so at a reasonable price.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Bought back the CLZ C65-C75 at 0.16 (profit 50 %).

Best regards, Myrrdin

On 4/27/17 I sold NGq7p260c450 for 0.027. I finished exiting today at 0.014. ROI is 8.3%. Days held is 28.

This strangle was 90 DTE when entered. The same day I entered the same strikes but for Sep (123 DTE). Those are only 72% of opening price while the Aug I exited at 52%. Aug had a quicker drop and higher ROI.
