Is that LHz6-LHg7 or LHg7-LHz7?

That is LHG7-LHZ6 - sorry for not being exact.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Bought back the LHZ C62 with a profit of 66 %. Intend to sell again LHZ calls around 56, but I doubt I will get the chance.

Added to my LHG-LHZ position instead. In recent years this spread moved up above $8, whenever there were no severe desease problems.

Best regards, Myrrdin

I have found that buying LHv6-LHz6 from 8/31 to 10/4 is a good trade. Winner 8 of last 9 years. 18 out of 20. Last losing year was 2009.

Not huge profits. Very little draw down. $750 highest last 9 years.

Average +3.025 last 9 years including losing year.

Do you want to discuss seasonal futures trades in this thread or should we do that in a new thread?

Which contract? The spread is buying Oct which is only 30 DTE.

The Dec contract is up sometimes in Sep, down other times. Up more than down but down big this year. Same for Feb.

Suggest to open a new thread in the commodities section.

I am bearish for the December contract this year for fundamental reasons. There is a high probability that hog supplies will exceed expectations this fall. And low cattle prices might draw some supply to this market.

Thus, I am interested in the LHG-LHZ spread, and in selling LHZ call at a higher price level.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Bought back the CZ C3.6 with a profit of 30 %.

Looks like a reversal in the daily today, and I consider the S calls as the better choice than the C calls.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Sold the GCG7 P1300.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Is your position still on? Yesterday drop in GC was accompanied by S&P500 sharp move up, today however both sliding downwards. The vast majority of markets in red today.

I see February contract trading at ~1315 at 2.40pm GMT, so your position must be around ~1% out of the money.

I sold GCG7 P1200
