Yes sorry myrrdin
I can speak Norwegian better than englsk
I went to school and learn how to speak englsk.
I was born in America yet knew no englsk until I went to school.
I understand, Am I wrong in assuming you speak German?

Yes, German is my native language. I live in Austria (and I love Norway and Sweden ...).

Best regards, Myrrdin

Sorry - I do not understand your question. Perhaps because I am not a native speaker and misunderstand some words.

You write that you were long wheat, and bailed with a loss. Wheat is moving up since middle of May. When did you enter and exit your trade ?

What do you think is emotional? Your trading ? The trading of the crowd resulting in the wheat price ?

Please formulate your question in a way that enables me with my average knowledge of English to fully understand it.

Best regards, Myrrdin

I understand the question as : if the reaction of the market is emotional.

To which I would say that during that time of planting the market reactions in the grain is more extreme than during other times of the year. One could call it emotional.

I do not think that the major part of these price movements is caused by emotions.

At this time of the year the crop is made or not. Some additional rain or lower temperatures in critical areas can make the crop significantly larger compared to current estimates, and vice versa. Traders not only look at the current weather, but they look at the forecasts. And forecasting weather is one of the most challenging tasks for an engineer.

This is why I recommend not to sell options at this time of the year. There will be a time when the crop is more or less made, and when volatility is still high. This is the time to sell calls on grains and beans.

Best regards, Myrrdin
