I have tried a few. The best software is ThinkOrSwim platform. The only drawback is that you have to open an account with them. But after that you are getting all data real-time without any monthly Exchange fees . The tools for analysis are amazing. You can even do backtest ( manually ) by going back in time or just adjusting all parameters such as volatility, price, etc.
It is applied only for manual trading, you wan't be able to download the data to use somewhere else.
They have good scripting language to test your ideas and millions of indicators.
However, commissions they are offering are higher than say, Interactive brokers. And this is important issue as commissions are the killer, especially if you trade spread such condors, flies, etc.
I've opened accounts with both ;-)

Interactive Brokers has decent option analysis in Trader Work Station but the TOS platform has much more. It really depends on how much analysis you need.
Take a look at the Hoadley Trading & Investment Tools, it only costs about $140. If you do not have an account with TD Ameritrade, Options Express or Interactive Brokers, you have to sort out your own data feed, which can get expensive for real-time data.
I have no intention of day trading futures options, so I have been looking at eSignal OnDemand and Barcharts; the latter has a sign up form on the Hoadley site for a basic package at $49/mth.
Please note that I have not used the Hoadley software at all so I cannot recommend it. I am simply looking into it and am thus in a position to share what I know.
You may want to consider AMP Futures. The round turn on futures is very reasonable and I am working with one of the brokers who has been very helpful. I am not yet ready to recommend AMP, but if I can duplicate my charts there, I may move over for my futures trading. I will include options of futures if I do make the move. The further out your trade the futures' options, you will find the cost can be extremely costly and therefore, most successful options traders on futures use spreads. Therefore, you need to have low commissions or be very good. Futures Broker | AMP Futures Trading Commissions - AMP futures, options and forex trading
We will MATCH or BEAT any Written Commission Quote!
I have no affiliation with AMP Futures and am yet to open an account there. Do your homework.
