Interesting how today the June ES puts are offered lower on a day futures are lower.

But movement is much slower than yesterday.

S&P 500 vol to start the year lowest since 1965.

I'm not sure what he is using for Year-End Return. The S&P 500 in 2012 was up 8.63% while this chart shows 16%. Are dividends that high to make up the difference?

I have some months trading options on Indexes and I finally decided to give it a try with options on futures. I choose strikes with at least 6k of open interest but I try and try and they don't get filled. Could anyone advice me on why it could be?

Did you ask TOS?

Complex spreads may have over 6k OI but those trades may have been done in the pit before it closed or are now being done other ways not available to retail traders.

Which commodities do you trade ? During overnight hours it is almost impossible to get an acceptable fill in the energies, although open interest is large.

Best regards, Myrrdin

I am trying to put a trade on CL. I leave the order working all day and nothing works :/ its been several days by now. My position is just selling a simple iron condor on CL with high open interest strikes. I never had this problem on Indexes and I wonder if I am doing something wrong

Sold today ESm7p1905p1650(2) for 2.25.
Sold today ESm7p1910p1650(2) for 2.35.

On 2/14/17 I sold ESm7p1910p1650(2) for 2.35. Exited today at 1.35. Days held was 31. Using 6X IM the monthly ROI was 1.6%.

On 2/14/17 I sold ESm7p1905p1650(2) for 2.25. Exited today at 1.30. Days held was 31. Using 6X IM the monthly ROI was 1.6%.

I exited this morning because the drop in net premium was almost 50% and the seasonal trend is for ES futures to drop the day the quarterly, ESh7, future expires. I will either reenter later today or next week.

I have one account that has only traded these spreads since last June. It is up 23.1% in the 8 1/2 months. Of course ES futures have not had a major drop in that time frame. So that return is best case scenario.
