hi ron,

great trade, thks for the heads up when you orig posted. cld have done a hell of a lot of them, didnt for diversity reasons.

re NG, do you see the substitute product price of energy (coal) outweigh (capping NG) all the other demand/supply forces influencing NG price?

-----------------------------------------------
fwiw: the last 18 tuesdays have seen gains in the DJ (edited), will it be 19? Goldman ups its ES eoy forecast to 1750 from 1625. print away. My prediction is uptrend continues til late jul on low vols (like now), then some euro (france bank bailout/default)/japan news will cause mayhem.

Yes coal will keep a lid on NG prices. Higher NG prices will also keep a lid on NG prices because it will put more NG into pipelines. More wells will be hooked up and turned on into the system.

There is no shortage of NG supply. Demand will keep increasing slowly over the years, but not enough for us to worry about short-term.

Hi,
How is the seasonal for Natural Gas for next three months? Also are there any free resources for seasonal charts? I would appreciate if anyone can post links for them.

Interesting. ES was up 16 out of 18. But the ES was up big a lot of those days. The average for the last 18 Tuesdays is +8.25.

For 2012 ES was up 26 out of 51 Tuesdays. No pattern.

Quoting
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said the U.S. stock-market rally may last at least another 2 1/2 years, sending the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index up 26% to 2,100.

David Kostin, the bank’s New York-based chief U.S. equity strategist, raised forecasts for the U.S. equity benchmark, predicting it will finish 2013 at 1,750 and 2014 at 1,900 as stock valuations increase, according to a research report dated yesterday. The S&P 500 trades at 16.3 times reported operating profit, 16% below the average since 1998, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

“Our positive 2013 outlook for S&P 500 has played out much faster than we expected,” Kostin wrote. “Reasons for a higher multiple include increased confidence in the medium-term outlook for U.S. economic growth, improving investor risk appetite and the wide gap between equity and bond yields that we now assume will be closed more by stocks than bonds.”

Goldman Sachs’s increase comes after Thomas Lee, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s chief U.S. equity strategist, lifted his estimate to 1,715 from 1,580 last week.

S&P 500 may reach 2,100 as gains last through 2015, Goldman says
