Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

LE/LH M14

Lean Hogs has been interesting day today - massively volatile, currently 828 bid @ 121.750 on June14 future. Can sell LH Jun14 146C for 0.225 on IB for a c13% ROI (Premium less comms / 3 x IM / DTE x 30). Delta 0.04. Hist V is 25%.

There has been huge bids/offers over last few days, its clearly not spoofers as plenty of players can do that size.

btw I just finished Hedge Hogs, think SMCJB recommended - great book & v well documented re NG Trading at Hedge Funds, worth reading even if you dont trade NG. Shame theres not more like it. Just started Flash Boys but cant see it will be as enlightening.

May Crude is at 103.3 right now. Isn't 104 cutting it close?

For Jun 110 Call is at 10 delta. 114 call is at 4.3. The 10 delta is personally a bit scary...

Just a threat of conflict or war and you are in big trouble.

depends how long you are holding for, you dont mention anything about your strategy so its anyones guess. also opec meetings can move the markets by 10$+ so its not just geopolitical risk which can make you go bust. only you know your limits to risk so even with additional info its hard for anyone else to comment on what is a good trade for you.
