Thanks. Glad I'm not the only one doing Cotton calls. This trade is my first one against the current trend (even though seasonals have a tendency down and even though fundamentals are mixed) so I'm feeling the stress lol.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm on ICE's email list to be notified of the margin changes like the one that happened Monday. When they raise futures margin by 23%, options margins increase by that much too.
But my statement saying the margin would go up from 108 tonight is based on the fact that futures are up today. I don't know how much and it depends on where it settles.
ICE does not put out new SPAN margins on options during the trading day.
I know somewhere in this thread is a link for a good seasonals charting; unfortunately had to wipe my HD and reinstall everything so lost the link, can someone put it up again ?
