Good to know. Maybe you can go some days to the terapist to see what he makes you do, then you ca do it at home.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

Mike,

Sorry to hear about your injury it looks painful. Hope you're feeling better. It's interesting the various comments and advice. I thought Pete's advice about how to break up a dog fight was very helpful.

Everything happens for a reason,

THE FINAL CAST IS OFF!

Also had first session of physical therapy today. Ouch. Still hurting. So, now the real work begins -- trying to regain use of my finger, which right now is sticking out like it's attached to a welded steel pole.

All the best wishes for you, Mike, I hope, that these hard times are as fast as possible over for you so, that you will finally be back and anything will run as before.
Best regards
Klaus

Physical therapy is just brutal.

But it's amazing how the body can recover.

Another update. Probably last one for quite some time...

Doctor says the severe swelling in my hand will take several months to diminish, and as the swelling goes down my movement should go up - provided I keep working on the therapy part, and massaging the scar tissue to prevent it from building up. So have a long and involved routine that I have to repeat every 2 hours all day long, for months, that involves heat therapy and a bunch of exercises.

To give you an idea, right now due to swelling, my little finger is about twice the size it should be.

Cheers for the update Mike.

I just want to add this; doing the rehab is boring... you won't feel like doing it at times...but, Please do it.
It is so important. I am speaking from experience. If you do not you will be left with deminished movement and strength. There will be times you do not feel like doing it, do it anyway. It is worth it.

It sounds obvious, but as someone who has gone through a similar thing, I just want to reinforce what your doctor/physio etc will say to you, it makes SO much difference.

All the best.
