I love my dogs too - but don't beat yourself up if you don't end up keeping the dog.

My pitbull gets walked with a muzzle on b/c she's not trust worthy with other dogs either.

I haven't checked in for a while. A few days ago you said you had
nausea. If this is still the case you could try milk in tiny tiny amounts.
Perhaps a tablespoon every so many minutes. It works on paper anyway.
No one can live on milk alone, but there are worse things. Milk does have
complete protein.

The concept is to not tax your ability to digest food.

Also perhaps crackers,
and of course water as needed. You probably have already tried this stuff out.
Also sometimes (I'd guess) you could get even more nausea by taking your
medications on an empty stomach.

Moreover, some medications instruct patients to only take their product
after a meal.

Sort of tried to cover all the bases here. Be sure to reply if you are making any
progress, otherwise we'll all just assume things are bad as before.

I'm in medical school and... being really busy with that, didn't see this thread until now.

Your first post with the three pictures was enough to know it was serious.

I hope you're doing better now. One thing I'd like to recommend to you is that with all the vomiting from the drugs, your stomach's parietal cells are likely temporarily damaged and Vitamin B12 absorption will be hampered. You should try to get some extra B12 in your diet to counter your reduced absorption to keep up your health/energy.

That's a pretty big bill, I guess the doctors always win in their trade of services for money.

Do or do not, there is no try. - Yoda

Thanks for the well wishes.

Just got back from the doctor today. Very, very hard to type now - left hand about 99% useless. Saw xrays took during surgery, completely shocking. He said he will give me a CD with them later when he has time. They really surprised me, the damage was so much worse than you could see when I was awake (due to pain threshold to separate or move fingers for xray).

I got a few pics and one pic of a new xray from today (not best angle, but didn't want to keep taking pics).

I now stay in this cast, which is much tighter than the old one and incredibly uncomfortable, for 3 weeks. Then a sling for 2-3 days, then the second surgery, then a sling again, and a couple months of physical therapy.

Mike

That looks pretty nasty Mike . I think a few weeks on a beach with a few cocktail waitresses tending to your needs is in order .

I was wondering if the authorities had any issues with your dog(s) . I recall you said they might give you some grief about them . Anyway , happy healing and good luck , Eric .

Dear Big Mike,
I have not checked in for a while until recently when astonishingly, my trading has been turning around.
I will pray nitely for your speedy recovery. There is power in prayer and even the scientific community is starting to recognize this.

Get well soon, We need you at the bridge, captain.
