NTSF:SD:SUV uses real people but seems to have the same basic concepts.
Let me know what you think, if time permits.

I watched the first two or three. Funny stuff, but so short! Captain Janeway has put on some weight... but haven't we all, lol.

I love the part during the opening intro title sequence where he takes off his sunglasses then immediately puts on another pair! LOL!

Through the Wormhole. It's really good thing. It's time to think who are we.

This series got rave reviews and I am looking forward to it. I've got it saved up and will watch it after I finish "The Universe". I'm currently on season 2 of The Universe, so it will take me a bit to finish up. Season 6 just started too.

I also checked out "Wonders of the Universe" recently and liked it, although I really like The Universe better as I prefer more details and less babble.

I am going to look The Universe. I like everything that is connected with space. Actually we all are from there. By the way one psychic has told me that my soul had flown from other planet.

That's a spoof on Horatio Caine's signature move on CSI Miami It's even funnier to watch that character do it in all seriousness

This show BOSS staring Kelsey Grammer is pretty good.

Anyone who is into the weird and macabre, will like 'American Horror Story'. I watched the first couple of episodes, that show just downright creeped me out!

@monpere
Yes dude, I watched the the first few episodes, and this is probably the weirdest show I have EVAR seen. It's good, engaging..... but just weird as all hell.

Every time I watch it, I continually catch myself either with my mouth open wondering 'wtf,' or I find that I have the strangest look of puzzlement on my face.

One show that sadly was quickly discontinued was Thanks.
Apparently they made their 6 episodes to see if it would take off. Like
that is giving it a fair shot!

Thanks (TV Series 1999–2000) - IMDb

I've been watching my now favorite show, CNBC's "American Greed".

In particular the ponzi scheme episodes. There are examples of so many of them and people losing unimaginable (to most) amounts of money. It's sad and ridiculous how so many people can have their savings wiped out by psychopathic ponzi fund scammers. And sometimes it's a trader or entrepreneur who gets to manage too much money all of a sudden who gets corrupted so fast. I think it also brings into question in an indirect way, the mystery of the spiritual and temptation aspects of trading and whether it's a corrupting endeavor. I hope they do a special episode on the scammy side of the trading education industry one day. Because most people don't reveal their personal finance endeavors so all the business with investing into funds, scams and trading education hardly ever gets reported even though it has been and continues to be a giant and growing industry today.

I'm really loving Boardwalk Empire. Is the best show since the Wire for me. But the Wire is my no.1 of all time.

Rule of Acquisition #1

Once you have their money, you never give it back.

Rules of Acquisition - Memory [AUTOLINK]Alpha[/AUTOLINK], the Star Trek Wiki
---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Star Trek: Enterprise: Acquisition (#1.19)" (2002)

[the Ferengi have plundered Enterprise]

Captain Jonathan Archer: What do you need all this for, anyway? You seem to already have plenty of technology.
Krem: One can never have too much. The Rules of Acquisition say "Expand or die."
Captain Jonathan Archer: "Rules of Acquisition"?
Krem: Mm, that's rule number 45. I've memorized all 173, including the most important one: "A man is only worth the sum of his possessions."
Captain Jonathan Archer: Back on my homeworld, that kind of thinking almost destroyed our civilization.
Krem: You should've managed your businesses better.

Captain Jonathan Archer (Character) - Quotes
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Mary Shannon: [voice-over] The reason I despise con artists, more than any of the other garden-variety miscreants that I see on a daily basis, is because robbing people of their worldly possessions isn't enough for them. They don't just leave their victims destitute, they leave them feeling foolish... betrayed. Mostly, I hate con artists because they break their victims' hearts.

"In Plain Sight" Never the Bride (2008) - Memorable quotes
=====================================

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

-Paul

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Notice is says... the love of money... It is not money itself
that is the root of all kinds of evil.
personal comment S.S.

Then He said to them, "Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions."

-Jesus

Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
