The Killing on AMC has started nice IMO..bit a rip of Twin Peaks but that isn't such a bad thing.

Just finished the first season of Justified -- starts a little slow but gradually gets more intense and is overall very good -- has some great characters, too.

All time favorites would have to be Curb, Sienfeld, The Office (US), and Breaking Bad.

Looking forward to seeing what Game of Thrones is all about.

My least favorite series to watch has been the NY Rangers vs. the Wash. Caps!

I like HBO series - The Wire is so brilliant I get more understanding each time I've seen it.

Also cartoons like older Simpson's, Family Guy, South Park and Dr. Katz.

Used to love the X-Files and Steven Spielberg mini-series Taken was the best.

what about when you marry one when your wallet is empty, but is filling up quickly? Pretend your broke until you can pay for the house in cash?

Is her name going to be on the deed?

Mike

johnnycakes78704 View Post
Maybe this is why I should have two houses.... nah, not really....although..... I don't mind her name being on the deed of our main home, especially as she'll be contributing.

Texas is a community property state, she's entitled to 50% of everything acquired during the marriage unless specifically excluded in a prenuptial agreement (assuming the agreement holds up in court ), regardless whether she was employed outside the home or not.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming;

I watch

Deadwood because I am interested in learning to communicate with people from other cultures..... (NSFW)

Sopranos because I am interested in learning conflict resolution... (NSFW)

I have it on good authority that, based on the Sopranos popularity, Deadwood got the go ahead from HBO execs to cater to their viewers who scored in the top 90% of reading comprehension.

I called Big Mike and he promised to take the time and "thank" every post by the member who could correctly tell me why HBO canceled the second best drama series in history (Deadwood).

That's with a flash crash pinky folks.

David Milch, Deadwoods creator , was contractually obligated to develop a new show for HBO , "John From Cincinnati". HBO was concerned that due to his working methodology, he would be delayed returning to Deadwood production which would have been quite expensive with the large cast sitting around waiting.

Deadwood was already an expensive show to produce. The set for Deadwood was an actual full scale town built to Authentic standards; real houses, real saloons, real hotels , complete with livestock, mud and manure. A place you could actually live in , if you didn't mind living without indoor plumbing.
