I just finished watching "Lilyhammer". I guess I might be biased, but I found it enjoyable. If you like action comedies from the 8/90's, I think you would enjoy this. There's hardly any action, but it's got that same feeling to it.

For the sake of full disclosure: I also enjoyed "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" and "Hudson Hawk".

24 is a must watch IMO!

Also enjoyed Battlestar Galactica (for sci fi lovers), Dexter, Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones

Wow, 8.3 on IMDB. I'm surprised by that. It's apparent that the readers of this thread suck, though!

Lilyhammer

First, I'm a Food Network addict:
Chopped (totally loving the All-Stars edition!)
Cupcake Wars
Iron Chef America
The Best Thing I've Ever Ate
looking forward to the next seasons of The Next Food Network Star, The Great Food Truck Race, and Worst Cooks in America

Racing:
Formula 1
V8 Supercars
SCCA World Challenge Series
British Touring Car Championship
Grand-Am Rolex Series

Other stuff I love to watch:
Top Shot
Top Gear (UK edition, the US edition seems like a poor imitation of the original)
Deadliest Catch
Anthony Bourdain - No Reservations
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

And hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey.

That will definitely be a good series! Although, being a Sabres fan, the playoffs will be a bit bittersweet for me.

Penguins is my team. I was a huge fan of Lemieux in my childhood, and now Crosby has replaced him nicely. It's quite extraordinary for a team to have two extraordinary talents in succession like that.

The Flyers are tough to beat, though.

Sabres? Iactually was an exchange student in Plattsburgh for a few weeks (I went home due to a falling out with the host family), and I hoped to catch a game in Buffalo. It's a shame I didn't stay long enough for that...

Lemieux brought Crosby to the team, did he not?

Plattsburgh is pretty far from Buffalo, about a 7 hour drive. I'd have to argue it would have been worth it though, Buffalo certainly is a hockey town. That's probably what I miss the most about living there!

Yes, Crosby even lived with Lemieux for the first few years.

Considering I had come all the way from Norway, I wasn't really intimidated by the distance...

It's nice to know there are some fellow hockey fans here. I remember watching the Stanley Cup while I was living on Hawaii. I've never felt more out of touch.

24 hrs to go... I need rest to get ready!

Well putting it into that perspective, I guess Plattsburgh and Buffalo aren't that far from each other after all!

I live in a relatively rural part of Virginia where not many folks care for hockey, so I can understand how alienated you must have felt in Hawaii. I'm really grateful for the NHL Center Ice package, so I can see all my Sabres games!

If it were the Sabres heading into Game 1, I would be too excited to rest! What are your predictions? I'm really not sure, this one's a tough call!
