My major dislike was it pushes me forward, I lean forward naturally in the chair

Thanks for sharing Mike. I remember earlier for quite some time you posted positive feedback. How long did it take you to realize you don't like it?

I am still using Steelcase Amia
The Fully-Customizable Steelcase Amia Chair by Smart Furniture

It helped me a lot. In the last one year I had pain only once. Just thought I would update.

I stopped using my Herman Miller Emobdy because it just felt uncomfortable anymore, it pushes me forward too much.

Was looking at something different:

DXRacer Official Web

I don't care about the colors, but the side bolsters and lumbar may be useful for long term sitting.

I didnt have a big budget so I was looking for something in the $300 range. I am 5' 11" with, thankfully, no back issues and my needs were simple:
  • I needed my feet to touch flat on the floor when the seat is on its lowest position.
  • Then, I wanted a headrest that comfortably supported my lower back head/neck area.
  • Furthermore, I wanted to be able to lock the backrest angle so that it does not recline fully (which is how I sit most of the time) all the time but at the same time, have the option to go all the way back (when I am using my meditation software - mostly to take quick power naps ).
  • I wanted to be able to adjust the seat cushion in relation to the backrest. Basically I want to adjust the seat cushion all the way forward so most of my thighs are resting on the seat (like in a car)
  • Lastly, I wanted a breathable surface - no fabric definitely.

I found this chair to have 90% of what I needed: WorkPro Quantum 9000 Series Ergonomic Mesh High Back Chair With Headrest Black by Office Depot & OfficeMax.

I have been on it for about 2 hours now and it feels very comfortable. Other than the hand rests being a tad high, I am very happy so far.

I bought a DX Racer King Series , because I'm a big guy. This chair is very well made. All the component are hi quality.

I was looking to change my chair , because the one I use didn't have armrest and since couple month I have some
sort of pain in my shoulder without doing something special

Features include: 170 Degree reclining back rest, a Knee-Tilt mechanism with lockable recline, 4D adjustable armrests, seat height adjustment, lumbar support cushion, headrest cushion and integrated footrests on the base or new heavy
(Source DX Racer)

For my part I don't use the lumbar support cushion because I found it very uncomfortable, but I use the headrest cushion.

I can adjust the armrest on this chair so now my arm a really 90 deg to my keyboard and my mouse so my shoulder are more relax because and don't feel the pain, so it a good thing.

One other thing that I'm happy is the seat cushion who is well made, most of the chair when you pressing the seat cushion you can feel the bottom structure of the chair, but not this one. I was afraid because I didn't try the chair before purchasing it. I found the cushion seat a little bit firm but very confortable.

You can adjust the chair on a lot of position so you can find your position to be very comfortable

For sure it a expensive chair but I spend a lot of hours in front of my computer, and I want to be comfortable so I do not care to spend a few buck for a good chair

I know the topic is "chairs"
But have you people considered an adjustable desk/workstation?

There are some great adjustable desks that move up and down. This allows you to adjust the desk height from standing to sitting to the ground.

I prefer to trade on the floor. I sit on a coccyx cushion and that imo has saved my back. Taking the load of my lumbar.
My neck is my biggest issue.

I'm trying to understand this, can you share a photo of this in action?
