Eliminating video background music- The objective of watching a documentary video is assimilation of information.
- Unfortunately – unecessary dramatization background music is the order of the day.
- To filter out background music on a Linux system I use the Equalizer component of PulseEffects – now renamed EasyEffects.
- * It may be necessary to adjust Equalizer settings from video to video.
- An example of Equalizer setting is as follows: 23Hz, 28Hz, 36Hz, etc., to 284Hz at 0% and the remainder at 50%.
- Use PulseEffects Application >> Volume and OS Volume to boost loudness.
- Other component settings may be effective - - try the Filter component.
- PulseEffect is not optimal and renders the voice somewhat wooden or tinny but eliminated to a large extent background music.
Note: Due to constraints of time - not enough hours in the day - downloading the video for processing through an audio or AI editor for stated purposes - which may then require uploading to an online editor - is not deemed a warranted option, though may be suitable to some.
