I was doing half raw half reg dog food for a little bit and nothing really changed with my dog ( German Shepard )
if it was cheaper then dog food then I'd do it but its expensive and time consuming. I still feed her raw food all the time but not to the point it that its her meals. I don't know what food you're using but we use royal canin and she loves its and she's really healthy. It's kinda hard to find the Shepard's bend but its worth it.

Yeah, I just got my Boxer for the Czech Republic about a month ago. They said they were feeding him Royal Canin, it turns out they were feeding him Raw. I got him the Royal Canin breed specific, but he would not touch it. Went with Orjin and Acana, wouldn't touch it. Tried five other dog foods. He just wouldn’t touch the food, even after skipping meals. Picked up some green tripe, he scarfed it down. It's fun to see him gobble up his food. In comparison to Orjien and Acana I think it is fairly close in terms of price. I just bought a #32 Lem Grinder, waiting for it to show up. A lot of stuff to look up. It's fun mixing up the food. From what I have read, the phosphorus and calcium ratio is crucial. I guess we’ll see how it goes, he seems more happy, and doesn’t smell as bad with the other food. I have been feeding him straight raw, went to the Costco business center and picked up bulk meats, and to the Asian Markets for organ meat. I was worried about the whole raw thing, but I guess dogs in the wild don't eat dry food. My last boxer ate Royal Canin breed specific.

Have you tried a wet dog food? When we were testing out foods we would give her a wet food if she wouldn't eat her dry food, just make sure it was mixed in and she didn't notice. I don't do this now but it works if we have to give her meds to, smells like shit but she goes crazy for it. We put it in her kong sometimes and it works great.

And i said the same thing to my vet about dogs in the wild eating meat and after a long drawn out speech about why she doesn't like it ,she said that these dogs would be much different if they we wild and after years and years of breeding they required different foods now.. I don't know if this is true or not as i have found people are either 100% for it or 100% against it .

IMO this is bullshit... dogs have been eating raw for thousands of years, their digestive systems are specifically designed to eat it... yes even long dead, rotted meat. Canned food or kibble has only been around for maybe a little over 100 years. It's a multi-billion dollar industry. Most of it is shit. Sounds like she wants to sell you some dog food lol...

We feed our boxer a mix of high quality kibble and raw; she gets beef, chicken, turkey... livers, gizzards, guts, they can eat it all. Raw farm fresh eggs are great too. Raw bones are awesome, but never cooked chicken or turkey bones, and I avoid cooked bones from other animals as well. One of Josie's favorite treats is a frozen chicken leg, bone and all.

@ teamtc247, post a pic of your boxer please!

I tried wet in the kibble about 3 different brands. He wouldn't touch the kibble just licked the buffalo off the kibble. So I was giving him blue buffalo and then tried it plain. He would eat more when it was plain. There is a company out here in California called greentripe.com. I found a group of folk that put their orders together to get a deeper discount. Picking up 200lbs of the Xkaliber on the 5th. Comes out to about 2.45 a lb.

That's a great looking dog!
Mine goes crazy over soup bones, never tried to frozen chicken leg though. Our freezer is half filled with frozen t bones and other various animal bones.. dog has more food then I do some days lol.

I'm not disagreeing with you guys I'm just saying what our vet from "THE" Ohio State university told us.. she was very very proud to remind us where her degree came from anytime she could.

I found my dog likes steak the best and will use small pieces I cut off before i cook for training... dog will go through a brick wall for steak.

Curious if anyone feeds their dog(s) raw feed?

Sure, for the last 9-10 years for my labs.
