I like New Year Resolutions
I like the idea of continual growth, progress and freshness.
A new commitment to life and giving it what you can.

I have been thinking about what to set for 2018.

Other people can post their New Year Resolutions.
Update when and if you like.

All traders know the value of resolutions for growing and maintaining focus and discipline.

Good luck and a Prosperous, Happy and Healthy New Year to all!

..........
peace, love and joy to you

I have decided on doing 1,000 continuous push-ups by 31 Dec 2018.

(I'll ad in other things like chin-ups, situps, squats and more water etc, but the goal is on the push-ups.)

Rules are: body straight, no touching the floor and you can rest/breath at the top of the push-up (i.e. arms straight)

Last year's resolution was to start each day joyfully.

Here's a proforma

My BMI index showing I'm in the obese category.
5'-10" : 210 lb

So my new year resolution is to bring it down to 170 lb to be considered normal.
I lost 20 lb last year, so I have a lot of work to do to reach the goal...dang...

Hi aquarian1.
Is your plan to work towards doing 1,000 continuous push-ups in one go? If you push all the way through to a locked arm you are going to end up with killer triceps...take some before and after photos

I have a goal to lucid dream. Ive been watching youtube videos on how to do it.

Hi Grant!

Yes 1000 continuous push-ups in one go!!

That's the goal!!

So I lost 3.5 weeks with a bad flu that drained me completely and I slept almost 24 -7

I'm now back at it - for all of Feb so this is an end of Feb report.

As of today, 1 Mar 2018, I'm at 160 in a row.

Earlier this in Feb I was doing multiple sets like 25 sets of 75 that sort of thing.
Today I'm at Starbucks for my end of day data wrap-up. I did four sets this morning and will do a few more when I get home.

I love the way my body feels. I notice it in my chest, arms, abs and back - between the shoulders.
I have now started to do a set of chest pull-ups after each pus-up set to balance things out.

(chest pull-ups : like a row with body weight)
Take two chairs with a bar between, lie on the floor on your back take a wide grip and pull yourself up bringing your chest toward the bar.

looking for to others to get on board!

You WILL do it my friend!!

(Ideas:
Cut out a picture of someone who looks like you want to and see yourself in that.
Don't eat any grains - nothing made with rice, wheat, corn etc.
make sure you have a protein intake in the morning
)

do this;
Matthew McConaughey transformed his fit physique into that of a gaunt HIV patient for his latest role in the critically acclaimed “Dallas Buyers Club.”

The actor shared with Access Hollywood how he managed to drop nearly 50 pounds.

“I ate a lot of fish, but only five ounces of it, and then a cup of vegetables,” Matthew told Access’ Scott “Movie” Mantz at a junket for the drama at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. “That would be twice a day.
