Hi, does anyone know if there's a way for me to get on CME's trading floor? I am going to Chicago in couple of weeks and it would be a real shame not to visit the floor, right?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I am going in October and already check the website... there is no tour at this time and no TBD either.
But offer 25% off for CME Group's Tower Exhibit in New York.
Not sure it can be done but I know of some who have gotten on the floor with passes from those who still hold a "seat" At one point TopSteptrader was taking groups of his traders on the floor. Again I don't know if it's possible anymore or not but that's my hope some day to when I go through Chicago

This ....
I'm not sure if anything trades on the floor any more, (options?) but if there are find somebody who has floor access and beg/plead them to show you. Assuming you don't know anybody who has access, call your broker and find out if they still have clerks on the floor, then beg and plead to them.
Update: I managed to get in. The futures pits have been closed, but options are still traded there. Eventhough everyone has a tablet and most of the trading is being done electronically in the pits, I heard some shouting in one of the most active pits.
For anyone who would want to get there in the future, you can meet quite a lot of clerks in proximity of the floor, either walking around in their colorful jackets or just having a cigar in the shop across the plaza. I'm sure that some of them would have the time and would be willing enough to take you there with them.
