Or you could check the time in the corner of the screen.

Well I could but I would not know if I'd gone insane yet. Obscure Blue Thunder movie reference there. Also my taskbar minimises.

I probably still have mine in a drawer somewhere. I wanted the helicopter but I saved and got this instead.

Edit: pondering it a little, Blue Thunder may have started my interest in relative time perception control.

Been a watch guy my whole life. Started with digitals as a kid and now only into mechanicals.

Have a Rolex GMT Master 2 on my radar for my next watch.... and then I feel my collection will be complete for quite some time.

These are my 3 daily wearers:

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chrono
Attachment 218097

Seiko SKX009
Attachment 218098

Omega Speedmaster Professional
Attachment 218099

And dress watch for those types of occasions
Seiko Cocktail Time
Attachment 218100

All pics borrowed from the web.

So what are you guys wearing these days?

You have the time on your pc, your kitchen oven, your microwave, your car, where you go....who needs a watch?

edit....on your tv, iphone, ipod.....

A wristwatch is now more of a personal preference and interest. Those of us who buy an expensive wristwatch do not simply buy to tell the time (although that is what it does on its face value), but rather for the fine intricate movement running the watch and fine details of the artwork.

While it is not something one ponders upon every time someone looks down at their watch, but it is definitely a major reason why people still buy elegant timepieces. A well built watch can last more longer than most relationships, jobs interest and even your trading consistency since we are on a trading forum LOL

While watch collection may not be your cup of tea, I'm sure there must be other things you have a passion for ? like cars, engines, planes. to me those are just a piece of metal/ plastic etc working to power the car, plane etc. to someone else it's some x amount of HP, some intake, some V level crap. n so forth.

best wishes,

John

Radio station WWV, Fort Collins, Colorado. The atomic clock.

I want to wear that on my wrist. 1-303-499-7111.

How heavy is an atomic clock, and does it go better with a leather or metal wristband?

On my 4th Seiko diving type watch. Like the solar. Spend a lot of time white water rafting and fishing. Life is good when not in phone service. When you break a Seiko it does look like what cartoons show.... Not a big phone guy.

Casio makes an atomic watch that syncs with that very tower daily and the 5 other atomic clock towers around the world. So your watch will be within 1 second of accuracy everyday for the life of the watch. Pretty cool.

Great choice. I love Seiko dive watches. Had 3 and gave 2 away to people who wear them daily. Still wear my SKX009 every so often and took it on my honeymoon.
