I use a french press every morning before trading.

Warm up some milk to almost a boil while the water is getting hot for the coffee, make the coffee, pour the hot milk in.

Good stuff.

Renato Bialetti, the son of the inventor of the "Moka Express" cans, who made these very popular and is actually the motive for the comic figure on every can, passed away recently. His family decided to put his ashes into a large version of one of his cans:

lately we have been making coffee using one of these pots. not difficult to use. produces a strong cup of joe . normally we use either
espresso roast or normal coffee roasted beans. We then blend with 50% hot milk. gets the morning off on the right foot..

I've used the Melitta cone method for years. Brews one cup at a time, very fast, zero cleanup. Since it's always just-brewed, it never gets stale in the pot. There is no pot.

This is how it looks, and you can see how it works: put it on top of your cup, put in a paper cone filter, add coffee, pour in hot water. Let it filter though. Done.

(This is fancier than mine, and I have seen models from other manufacturers too.)

Cleanup: dump filter, rinse cone.

They make different sizes. There's one for a "normal" cup (#2 filter). I use a big cup (about 20 ounces), and they make a larger size and larger filter (#4) for that. Filters are sold in regular grocery stores, and the cones in any place there are kitchen gadgets.

Bob.

Very Darth Vader.

It's a new design. I thought that too when I went looking for a picture on the internet. The old design I have is just a cone sitting on a disk that you place on the cup.

They must not have realized the inadvertent humor with the new version, which is a bit strange.

Either one does deliver the Force, however.

Bob.
