Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've been working on a client platform for reporting trading results. The requirement was a web browser app that has a platform-agnostic appearance - you can access it easily on a mobile device. Had good success using Polymer + Semantic UI + React + Flux frameworks. Unfortunately design is a skill lacking from most developers, so I hadn't been able to roll the final product just yet for aesthetic reasons.
@Big Mike Is there a calendar app that you use together with Roundcube?
Is this something that would benefit retail traders? , and what additional features have you added?
We do have access to interface design guys, and I think that we did a good job with Sierrachart navigation bars.
After we rollout our new site, I would be more than happy to collaborate if appropriate.
I have a screen shot in terms of what we did, just in terms of reference.
At the top you have our design for our customers, and below is the native design.
Hope to help you to complete. You can PM me any time if you wish.

We have some PE investments in businesses, I'd say the most interesting software we've rolled out lately has been Moxtra and/or Hipchat. This has been primarily as a replacement for silly minor one liner emails and SMS to centralize the hub for a team's communication instead of the normal massive chain of CC'ed emails. It's also been great for proofing images/documents. And more importantly, it's free!
We have a love/hate relationship with Salesforce, but I"m sure you probably already have some exposure to that as a CRM.
Culture Index for personality profiling on jobs has been superb.
Lastely, Klipfolio has been interesting for dashboards.
Thanks you for sharing your experience. Yes, we do have exposure to salesforce.
But, we have worked with a team that has customized it for us about seven years ago, and since then it has been fine. You can customize reports, dashboard, fields, etc.
Like all consultants ask for previous work, and compare prices.

@ Matt, therein lies the hate part of the love/hat relationship with SalesForce! Lol. You're right, after paying for the customization, it works, but then you're stuck with a very sticky relationship making it hard to switch platforms after the large sunk costs, yet you're continually in a cycle for building something you don't technically own to keep the platform evolving to meet new needs.
We've tried exploring some open source platforms without much success yet, but the thought process is probably an eventual migration off sales force to one of the new open source platforms some additional development on top of it so we're not getting bled dry on the subscription costs of SalesForce.
Too bad ACT couldn't get it's act together. (Pun intended. =) )
PS Moxtra is developed by the former WebEx founder. Very interesting platform across mobile and desktops for group communication and chats. We like it a lot better than Google Hangouts. But in general, not a fan of the Google Apps ecosystem.
I fully understand the dilemma. Since we are on a trading forum, I will use the trading platform analogy.
Many traders buy life time licenses and all the add-ons, just to discover that it adds very little to their trading knowledge and their bottom line. However, due to the sunk costs they do not want to par with the existing, or start over, or for that matter even acknowledge that a change is necessary. If it does not work, it does not work. period.
Back to topic. ACT, that was my first software CRM. I used in when I started in the business, while all my colleagues preferred to use manual solutions. It was a blessing, But, I gave up on them over a decade ago. They just could not keep up.
I do like salesforce a lot, and many you just have to supplement it with another software that will achieve your goals.
Maybe something like HIghriseHQ? We find that at times supplementing one software with another could achieve your goals.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a viable alternative to SalesForce. In many ways it's better. When my company evaluated SalesForce vs Dynamics we found SalesForce had a lot of $$ gotcha's beyond the initial purchase. Cost per user license was significantly cheaper vs SalesForce. 99% of the customization can be done in house without relying on Microsoft. Obviously you need a competent admin or 3rd party vendor. My company uses both. The customaztions to the user interface and user experience are done in house and data management and special customaztions which require coding are handled by the vendor.
CRM 2015 which is the latest version of dynamics has a lot of hooks into MS Office. Including Oulook integration along with Excel and OneNote.
