Nope ... but I will be buying a Windows 7 tablet/slate:

Asus Eee Slate Review - Tablet Reviews by MobileTechReview

Why .. because I want a tool that also allows me to CREATE content (i.e., word, excel etc) rather than just CONSUME content (i.e., games, movies etc).

... ay, there's the rub... Hamlet | Act III, Scene I

You want the power of a laptop ... that requires a more powerful processor... which means lousy battery life or a heavier tablet with a larger battery...

Tablets are not a laptop replacement until there is a breakthrough in batteries.

From the review...

The 34W/hr Lithium Polymer battery is sealed inside the Eee Slate, so you can’t swap batteries for a long day in the field away from an outlet. Asus claims the EP121 can run for up to 4.5 hours, but with brightness set to 50% and both WiFi and Bluetooth on, we average 3 to 3.5 hours on a charge. The Slate can play a 2 hour HD movie on a charge, but not much more. In terms of battery life, Windows tablets can’t compete with mobile OS tablets like the iPad 2. Asus could have used a larger battery (the battery actually consumes a good deal of the inner cavity), but that would mean a larger and heavier tablet. Likewise, they could have used a low power Intel Atom CPU, but performance would have tanked, making the Eee not much better than other underpowered competitors.

Theres no denying an iPad 2 is lighter and has better battery etc ... but thats not why Im opting for the ASUS Eee Slate. Bottom line is it wouldnt fit my needs ... as it uses an OS that is not Windows. If I didnt already have an iPhone 4 and wanted to just CONSUME content (i.e., games, movies etc) ... I probably would consider getting one.

It is such a strange zeitgeist we have going on..as if life itself has acquired "featuritis".
Being able to read the Kama Sutra on your ikindle g5 while in bed with your partner is not an improvement to fucking.

Thanks for posting that... I was running out of things to worry about that would keep me awake at night....

If it's not any more accurate than the GPS from AT&T network, at best it would only get within a certain number of blocks and only when the phone was on.

I'm too old to care if someone who steals my phone and is knowledgeable and diligent enough to meticulously map out all the gazillions of coordinates ... knows where I have been for the past year.... lucky you... you are obviously still young and healthy enough to go places you don't want anyone to know about... I envy you...

I already have a MacBook Pro 17", a MacBook 13" and an iPhone minus 4.

I'd wanted to buy the iPad in August last year, but thank Goodness God, the money went on something in higher priority list. With the launch of iPad 2, I've decided not to buy iPad any more or any Pad at all; if I had bought the iPad in August last year, I would have been one Pad behind now; I'll just go for MacBook Air. Although MacBook Air now comes in 10" screen, I'll go for the 13" model. When and if I get the MacBook Air, I'll give the MacBook 13" to my wife who is currently using an old Dell 17" Laptop.

A friend of mine bought his wife an iPad as "virus protection" for his computer network since she "cruises" the net so much.

Ok, ok, ... I'll buy her a new MacBook Pro 13" so she can safely cruise the net, not so much though.

how funny

when steve jobs released the ipad every non apple tech guy made jokes about it and laughed with it

there are now what ? 100+ ipad clones ?

apple changed the world again, i have an ipad1 and an ipad2, it made my life so much easier, you have to giveapple credits for getting things 'right' for a lot of times...
