Thanks for posting that... I was running out of things to worry about that would keep me awake at night....

If it's not any more accurate than the GPS from AT&T network, at best it would only get within a certain number of blocks and only when the phone was on.

I'm too old to care if someone who steals my phone and is knowledgeable and diligent enough to meticulously map out all the gazillions of coordinates ... knows where I have been for the past year.... lucky you... you are obviously still young and healthy enough to go places you don't want anyone to know about... I envy you...

apple changed the world again, i have an ipad1 and an ipad2, it made my life so much easier, you have to giveapple credits for getting things 'right' for a lot of times...

You just say that because...

Apple has sold 60 million iPod Touch (an iPhone without the phone)

and 100 million iPhones (iPod Touch with the phone)

and 15 million iPads (iPod Touch with a larger screen)

and so far over 3 million iPad 2 (Demand has outstripped supply)

Its only devices with iOS 4, NOT Mac OS X; so MacBook is not exposed to this secret tracking; Or is it ?

I kind of like Black Helicopters...

I'm sure you have "NOTHING TO HIDE"
but do you really want someone to be stalking you without permission?

Are you sure nothing was transmitted?
If they have not used it, why was it captured?
Just because no one has discovered a transmission of data does not mean it has not occurred.
(hacking into something and being discovered is very counter-productive for the hacker)

The whole point of the post was that they are 'SECRETLY' collecting this information in a HIDDEN file that you CAN NOT delete...WITHOUT your permission to do so.

Maybe you should wonder why they are even collecting it and why they decided to do it without your permission.

Ok, I've got to run, I think I hear some Black Helicopters approaching

The Asus Eee Pad looks really interesting. Has adobe flash capablities as well. I hope it's gets good consumer reviews when it comes out next week.

I prefer the HP Slate as well... I dont need a toy, I need something functional, and the slate is functional by supporting Windows 7 and as such applications that I would normally use..

my second choice is the Moto XOOM, but the apps space is lacking IMO.
