I really like Musk, it appears that he doesn't really care about money at all, he just uses it to pursue his true dream which is to inhabit Mars, whilst in the mean-time advancing technology and seeing how far we can take things. I'm quite interested in space and futurology so have read a fair bit about him. Bloomberg did a good piece on him, it's quite a read but well worth it.

I'm the inventor of the SST System, Super Conductor Super Train. It has underground malls. It has SST High End Apartments, 20 stories high, 20 foot ceilings, High End Appliances and Furniture. It's a MegLev in a tube. We pump the air out of the tube and hardly no friction. It has a single large track using electricity for the opposed charges, one plus, one minus and you get the MegLev Effect. It has jet engines that will not burn up in the tube. It goes 2 to 3 thousand miles per hour. It runs the mainline for the Internet in its walls. It also runs particles to particle accelerators with atom smashers at universities so we can get our engine to the stars and also free energy by studying the atom. It has an Ocatagon Building based in Washington DC that will go down 2 miles in the earth with launch sites at 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2 miles. The 2 mile launch site would go under the Atlantic to Oxford England. It would be called the snake. It would have anchors, because when the train moves in the snake, it will make the snake move and we need it anchored down. It also has Pyramids - mile high buildings built out of carbon fiber skeleton and weaponized concrete continuously pored. The buildings would be located where there is very little siezmic activity in Michigan outside of Lansing. I call it sing sing. The other would be outside of Seattle, Washington. Washington State would call itself "The Pyramid State". First we build the Octagon with people. At a later date we switch to robots and build the rest of the system with robots. The SST Engineers would also become administrators to serve and protect the system. We first do the 10 minute train from Washington DC to NYC. It will probably be faster than that. That would be a good 5 year plan to start with. The Pyramids would be 3/4 mile square at the bottom and 1/4 mile square at the top. They would sway 3/4 of an inch, meaning - they would not sway. This would make Elon Musk's train in California look like child's play. I think this is doable in our life time even though it 300 years ahead of time. We need another transportation system. This possibly could be a world wild transportation system. What do you think?

Here is an interesting article in the FT about the recent Falcon 9 crash. Very impressive. Elon Musk has the character to own the problem and explain the next steps to correct future issues. I respect Musk for his ideas and his business acumen. I like that he is building as much of the rocket in house to keep costs down plus this should improve his profit margins.
