Most people don't / can't see / understand that and until they do, they will keep chasing setups they can see in history after the fact, but simply aren't possible live.

i learned very well and i repeat
it is not about predicted what the market WILL do
but about following and make a profit out of what the market IS doing
Ohhhh yes, first hour of every morning is spent sitting there thinking about it, messing up my focus and my trading for sure, bloody woman!!
Ofcourse my next GF, rather than just breaking up with me, tried to get a restraining order / whatever for attempting to rape her, thankfully I recorded the conversation on my phone where she told me her plan, so the police laughed and walked away LOL Sadly I still have to work with this nutter and I don't get to see her nearly 2 year old daughter I was bringing up as my own.
Bloody woman, other than missing the baby, doesn't bother me that much, she dragged her previous ex through the courts for similar, so I had my suspicions hence recording it, confirms that was all made up!

Following, sounds easy, but market especially Forex, just stops and reverses, yes there are moves that work well, but there are a 100nd entries which look the same daily which go no where and hit your SL waiting for that big move, which you miss as you've taken to many losses.
Upon realising above, I created a mainly range / chop system and incorporated a trend factor, works great, so simple but took 8years to get there, but needed the experience as well to trade it well I guess.
100$ is really a no brainer ...

some practical tips from @bobwest that boosted my psychological confidence

The past is also part of the present, by how much it only depends how far you look back. Distant happenings tend to fade away.
Don't you use charts at all?
How do define the present moment? Is it just a blink of an eye? Do you make your decisions every half-second? Do you scalp for 1 tick?
(If not, you are looking into the future by definition.)
