Here is my daily plan of the day. Just curious, how other's plan of the day compare to mine.
o Start the program
o Connect to data source
o Download a couple of days of tick data
o Open analysis and trading workspaces
o Pray for a smooth day
o "S**tless" to place a trade
o Program freezes or goes into spinning (alternatively - Program Stopped due to problems with memory - 8Meg available)
o Call Support? No, "F**k It."
o Delete _Workspaces.XML file
o Restart
o Connect
o Build chart again
o Build Workspace again
o If lucky continue the day
o If unlucky freeze again
o Through the coffee mug into the wall
o Try not say "F**k It" again in front of the cat
o If before 8:00 go to mountains
o If past 8:00 go to the range and perhaps play 9
o Come back home and kick the cat
o Wife rushes in"What is the matter with you? You did not break 50 again?
o Cleanup the mess
o Read the damn trace file again
o Go to bed and dream of a perfect trading day
On a perfect day I would say:
Cheers!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Seriously though, I've been running Ninja for years now and can't remember the last time I had a crash or hang, and I've used dozens of workspaces and hundreds of charts that were usually open at the same time and constant development work, thousands of lines of code. Feed is eSignal.
Strip it down and start again, see when the problems start depending on what you add each day. Only way to go if you want to eliminate the real source of the trouble.
Best wishes and hope you can find a route forward.
But when you start over, don't just add back your same indicators and workspace, because most likely one of them is the cause of your problems. You'll have to run bare charts and add one or two indicators at a time per day until you find the problem most likely. Good luck.
yes, absolutely. I also believe the problem is in that area.
hopefully you'll be able to find the problem. also there're many knowledgeable people here to assist you if you need help. just try not to get stressed out. don't want to deal with a stomach ulcer or even worse one of those:
