What I mean is this: Adding a place for like minded people to discuss things not related to trading can be good for building a community. But on the flip side, I want to make sure the forum remains true to being a serious forum without all the 'lulz' you find on other forums that don't add any value to the forum.
Can't member just start threads regarding sports, or whatever in the non trading area? I don't really have an issue with other areas on the the forum, but the focus should be trading imho.
Personally, I have no interest in discussing sports ... but I have no problem with others posting about anything .... with the exception of religion or politics.
i.e The Fed raising interest rates... that's news... copy and pasting fanatical fringe blog rants ... thats politics.
I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.
My daddy always said, "Every day above ground is a good day!"
I think if there was a Sports Forum, it would take some effort to keep it in check. I know that I can get pretty fired up discussing the Gators, so it would depend if you want to take on monitoring the forum. It might create extra work on your end if you did not have an admin for that forum. You could add a trade related sports forum, because I know exercise is important to many traders.
