quantismo View Post
I though I would just toss this out there since I spent many 15 years suffering with both of these diseases and do not suffer from these diseases at all when I figured out what causes both of them. My Acid Reflux was so bad that even taking prescription Nexium I still would burn through a large bottle of ant-acids in a week and that went on for years while also suffering from Crohn's that when it flaired up felt like a knife being stuck in my abdomen.
I have a couple other health problems that when they flaired up also just made me feel like I was about to die any minute for years.
What I found after years of research to get better was that I needed to give up Milk and Milk products , All red meats and eat very limited white meat , drink lots of water and most of all eat as close as you can to being a vegitarian. I am a foody and love to eat so ocasionally I have one meal that is toxic to my body Like Thanksgiving , Christmas ham etc.
I eat a tasty granola type cereal I found(most granola cereals taste like crap) and use coconout or soy milk to eat it almost everyday for breakfast. As I am a full time trader I dont burn alot of calories so it can carry me to dinner with snacks of carrots and celery in between. If you are suffering with either of these conditions and want to know anything more feel free to ask or send a pm.

Quantismo..

Yes milk, wheat, soy etc are top allergins. Too much meat makes your body acid.
One fellow cured himself of "uncureable" stomach cancer - the doctors sent him home to die by simply going on a live food diet (=fresh vegs and fruit and nuts etc. nothing cooked).
... amazing.

One of the first steps if you have a prb that you aren't solving is to just fast.
(plain water or water and apple juice and apples) - gives your body a chance to rest and heal.
Then add in foods one at a time.

If you have done this you would have found that as soon as you consumed milk products your body reacted.

same idea for people with gluten pbs

you might want to try rice milk or almond milk instead of soy.

..........
peace, love and joy to you

I am not a big fan of chiropractors but here's one who offers some hope for dealing with your old repetitive motion occupational, football or mountain climbing injuries. This won't help with brain problems due to concussions. Stay out of that boxing ring.

This practitioner has done a lot of work with professional sports teams, so this is worth a look.

Sitting still for long periods of time is a major risk factor for premature death. As a screen junkie, resist the temptaion and save your life. The human body is built to MOVE.

a fantastic stand up desk for just that reason. All Ikea products less than $150 bucks all in. I have not, though, figured a way to make it a walking desk via the addition of a treadmill.

I will say that standing is flippin fantastic and the "feel better" effects are evident right away.

It has been explained that to make an effective walking desk the treadmill needs to be "gravity based" as the typical motor will burn out when used at slow speeds for long periods each day. So I gather that a gravity type walking treadmill is similar to a band of walking material around a series of rolling pin like rollers...anyone clued in on that?

You could put a keyboard and mouse on your handlebars and trade from your Computrainer.

Doesn't this look comfy?

On second thought maybe the stand up desk is worth another look.... However, I would want the speed of the treadmill to be controlled by the speed of the tape.

OK, enough nonsense. I have to admit that the standing or walking desk is a really good idea. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

@Zondor

Accepted and expected from you....I'm okay with being Zondored!

Originally a skeptic, on both the form and function of a stand up desk I now can offer testimony to the described benefits. I do feel better standing during productivity time. Second to that, because I am standing I do not linger in front of the machine on stuff that is not important. Last, I do feel as though focus is better from the standing position.

I'll make pics later.

This is getting a lot of mainstream attention.

TradeKing on MSNBC: We Love Stand-up Desks! | TradeKing

'Standing desks' promote good health, doctors say - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

There is a big story today somewhere on nbc but I lost the link.

It is not the sitting per se that is the problem, so much as the lack, of movement that usually comes with it.
Fidgeting and stretching can help to a degree. It's not so easy to do that while, for example, driving a car. On long trips the tendency is to go into a trance and not do any movements unrelated to driving.

It's scary how inactive the body becomes while driving for a while and how strange it feels when getting out of the car and stumbling around like a zombie at the rest stop until metabolism speeds back up to normal. And especially scary that the sluggish state crept up on you and that you were probably not even aware of being in it.

Standing all day can be bad too, especially standing still in one place, which can really make your legs hurt. In Poland a few years ago I was surprised to see that many of the supermarkets had ergonomic chairs for the checkout workers.

was better than chatbox.

Saw this article this morning.

I do take a statin. The top health priority now is to get off the statin medication asap. If anyone can offer educational resource to assist with that please post.
