I haven't followed the whole thread but I thought I would chime anyway. Robert Young has done a lot of research in pH levels in the blood and how it effects health. Its a good read.
Just warn you there are a lot of high end water purifiers and other stuff that is way over the top in my opinion. But there is good info about supplements and cleansing.
Death in America is largely a foodborne illness. Focusing on studies published just over the last year in peer-reviewed scientific medical journals, Dr. Greger offers practical advice on how best to feed ourselves and our families to prevent, treat, and even reverse many of the top 15 killers in the United States.

Not really trying to plug my stepfather's book here, but I have know him for 30 years and can vouch for him. This has been his study since I knew him, and he does live that lifestyle better than anyone I have ever met.

ill tell you what has worked wonders for me---super foods. green and or/brown powder that you mix with water or fruit juice
i am not talking about the protein stuff that body builders take- rather its the "green "mixes of powered wheat grass and tons of other healthy ingredients. stuff like "ultimate meal" and "midori greens" and countless other brands available at your local health store.
I have the stuff shipped to me in thailand and i start every day with it. one scoop is equivalent to 6 helpings of fresh veggies-plus plus----really awesome stuff--unleashes the natural energy --i never get fatigued anymore--
combine that with a decent exercise regimen and a few other vitiamins--(calcium citrate) , fish oils, --had one cold in the past 2 years--havn't been to the doc in... --i cant even remember the last time--i'm 54

I will skip the magical elixirs for now, thank you.
Maybe I got the wrong idea, but I thought that the peer reviewed, journal published scientific papers that Dr. Greger is incessantly quoting point to the conclusion that people should be eating more fruits and vegetables.
He does not talk about exotic, proprietary, expensive, brown and green powders too much. But I have nothing against single serve cans of Fred Meyer brand roasted beets that are a convenient source of nitrate and only cost 69 cents.
Time to re-read the link posted by @shodson (post #62)and to bear the following in mind in regard to the most dangerous machine you are ever likely to come into contact with:

dr gregor is right of course--people should be eating more fruits and vegtables--and one scoop of superfood will provide the nutrients of 6 portions of vegtables----++ its not expensive either.

Going vegan does not appeal to me, either
But the scientific evidence has become overwhelming. WATCH THIS VIDEO.
Even if you don't cut out the meat, adding more plant based foods will have huge benefits.
For those athletes whose immune systems are compromised by intense workouts, NUTRITIONAL YEAST is the solution. Something for me to try with all these 250 mile plus bike riding weeks lately.
Esophageal cancer is bad news, almost always a quick killer. Hmm... precancerous changes in the esophagus have been reversed by treatment with... strawberry extract?????????!!!!

Read the book "The China Study" and gain a new appreciation about eating meat and the dangers of doing it.
I am not a vegan or a vegetarian, but I do go out of my way to buy organic grass fed hormone free meat when possible. Costco is pretty good on this, they have hormone free chicken and organic grass fed beef.
I am presently on day 5 of a water fast. I'm not looking to get into an argument about whether it is good or bad for you. I believe it is good for ME. I am doing it for my body, there is no religious reason.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.
Need help? 1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first. 2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses. 3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make. 4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance. 5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers. 6) Help using the forum? Watch this video to learn general tips on using the site.
