Deeply saddened to hear your mom's passing away.

How ever young a child may be ...... losing one's parent at any age is very difficult to cope up with.

My heartfelt condolences to you and may GOD give peace to the departed soul and strength to you and the family.

Steve

thank you @SteveM that is very nice of you...

Sorry to hear the sad news. I want to fill the post with 100 hugging smilies or something, but an internet cartoon seems a cheap thing to convey such wishes. Well wishes and sympathies to you and yours.

@Ryland thank you....nothing cheap about your very kind thoughts!

Bad day....lost my mom today. Difficult writing this but I think that family is such an important part of trading successfully that I thought I'd share.

My mom was the most amazing, incredible, kind woman that you could imagine...always there with a warm smile when you were down and unconditional love when you needed it most. No greater supporter of anything I did be it in or outside of trading. Her passing comes as an unexpected and tragic shock...not prepared for it to say the least. Her Neurosurgeon, Dr. Aldo Rosemblat and everyone in the ICU at Northwest Medical Center in Florida treated my mother and me with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion. Brought me to tears with the extent of the help they offered...

I know the title of this thread is different, but how about we semi-call it the "Tribute to Mom" thread?

Mom was very sick for a long time, we discussed the final leg of her journey....but never thought it would end like this. For everyone out there reading this - Hug your mom and give her a kiss....call her up and tell her you love her....make an effort to be there for that sunday dinner.....and do it often...you never know when you might not have that precious chance again.

...let's hear your Mom story...it matters!

Mom is precious, you only have one Mom!

Johnny

So sorry to hear your pain Johnny. Reading your words and others brings tears. And a first thought is “....at least you were there....”. I lived across the country when my Dad went but was fortunate to be there for my Mom's last years.

Only cuz you ask for 'Mom stories'... first memory that jumps out was a trip she wanted to make to Jacksonville for a last visit with a relative. That required a several hour plane flight and some smart-aleck doctor at the time didn't think much of it, even saying in a sarcastic tone: ”go ahead if you want, some people sky dive...” She disliked docs to put it politely so of course that probably helped settled it---off we went with 24hr oxygen and wheelchair. Result? She needed oxygen less there! Amazin. And she was so happy to find we could rent some fat-tired buggy and move along the beach. And the return home? (bearing in mind she could be a bit disoriented from 'normal' reality at times), her first words as I wheeled her into the house? “What are we doing in this place??” (How little we know of this plane.)

Peace and prayers be with you.
