Breaking news....
Hershey announced its Kisses and Milk Chocolate Bars will transition to non-GMO sugar by the end of 2015!

Over the last two years, GMO Inside has invited tens of thousands of consumers to post on Facebook, send emails, and make calls pushing Hershey to go non-GMO. Thank you for taking action with us to make this VICTORY happen!

This is a monumental first step from a company that uses a huge amount of GMO sugar. We thank Hershey for stepping up.

The US citizen's have influenced a major corporation, through their bottom line!

There are more corporations, like Starbucks, Pepsi etc to switch but this is a major victory.

Note: Hershey's used non-GMO sugar for countries outside the USA, so we are happy to see, make this change for USA!

If you would like to support their action, you may consider a donation or sign up for the email:

PS: Will we see a short for Monsanto coming?

Monsanto Lobbyist Swears Herbicide Safe Enough

To Drink…Until Journalist Offers Him A Glass

MARCH 26, 2015

by JAMESON PARKER

Lobbyists are known for talking a big game, and none have that reputation more than the ones who work for embattled chemical company Monsanto. But what happens when a journalist asks one to put his money where his mouth is? Cringeworthy results.

Monsanto has recently made headlines once again when a World Health Organization report found that the ingredient glyphosate was likely posing considerable risk to people.

According to the Des Moines Register:

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) said in a report Friday that glyphosate was “probably carcinogenic” to humans. The agency said the chemical, used in more than 750 products made by Monsanto and other companies, has been found in water, air and food during spraying. But WHO said use of the weed killer is often low in areas where most of the public would face the greatest risk of exposure.

In the United States, Monsanto seems intent to keep exposure low, despite insisting that it’s harmless. In other countries, particularly in undeveloped countries with lax regulations, the herbicide is used liberally and the health effects are beginning to become extremely worrying. A recent study found cases of cancer having doubled in a short time, just as the use of crop dusting and industrial-scale use of herbicides has skyrocketed. Sri Lankans have experienced similar problems. According to a study done by Rajarata University and the California State University, glyphosate was linked to a spike in kidney problems, as well as a host of other ailments.

In the fallout, Monsanto has gone on the offensive, issuing press releases and rallying their army of well-paid lobbyists in the hopes of killing the story.

In a clip released in anticipation of an upcoming French TV documentary about Monsanto, a flack hired by Monsanto to argue that the active ingredient in its Roundup weed killer products is harmless towards people is put on the spot. After towing the official line that Roundup is not raising the cancer rates in areas where it is used heavily, one such lobbyist Dr. Patrick Moore swore that Roundup was so safe that he would drink it and nothing would happen, leading to an amazing exchange between the interviewer and an increasingly frantic Moore.

“You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you.”

“You want to drink some? We have some here.”

“I’d be happy to, actually.”

Within seconds of accepting, and perhaps realizing that the interviewer was dead serious, Moore has a crisis of conviction and backs away. “Not really,” he demurs. “But I know it wouldn’t hurt me.”

The interviewer presses on. “If you say [it’s safe], I have some.”

“I’m not stupid,” Moore answers.

According to Moore, people try to commit suicide with his products all the time but fail. (Not exactly a great sales pitch.) However, each time he is offered a glass of the “harmless” chemical, Moore panics. Sensing he is losing control of the narrative (and looking like a hypocrite), Moore gets angry and walks out of the interview, with a final comment that the interviewer was “a complete jerk.”

NOW THIS IS GOTCHA? JOURNALISM WE COULD USE MORE OF « The Burning Platform

https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/?s=Monsanto+and+the+geoengineers

Furthermore, glyphosate chelates manganese. Dr. Seneff believes that just the absence of appropriate amounts of manganese can help to cause autism. Glyphosate also promotes aluminum uptake into our tissues, and interrupts an important path for amino acid uptake called the shikimate pathway, into our guts.

... scientists were mistaken about a human shikimate pathway, and we rely upon it for many important functions in our body, including ridding our body of poisons like RoundUp as well as other herbicides and pesticides.

“The problem is that bacteria DO have a shikimate pathway and we have millions of good bacteria in our guts – our ‘gut flora.’ These bacteria are essential to our health. Our gut isn’t just responsible for digestion, but also for our immune system. When glyphosate gets in our systems, it wrecks our gut and as a result our immune system.”

She says:

“The effects are insidious. You won’t notice when you eat a food that contains glyphosate, but over time you will enter an old-age state before you should.”

This is great news but the fight continues.

I have been listening to speakers from the Food Summit and they interviewed an attorney, who has been fighting
in the trenches to label GMO's.
He mentioned, that they have come up with a new GMO or testicide that is going to be brought to market, that is even
more threatening. Once it has landed on the crop and is dry, it then goes air-born and travel's even further.
He mentioned, this could have horrible results in the next 15 years. He did not paint a very pretty picture.

The same day, Jeffrey Smith spoke and ended his talk on the positive side: that we are almost at the tipping point.
The knowledge is getting out to the public and they are voting with their dollars and are not buying GMO foods.

Example: Hershey's recently said: their Hershey Kisses, will not be made with GMO sugar in America.
This is a big victory because Hershey's has been making Chocolate without GMO sugar for Europe but for America:
made chocolate with GMO's. This is a big thing: deciding not to use GMO sugar in their USA Hershey's Chocolate.
The corporations, see which way the wind is blowing and decide to take action before it hit's their pocket book etc.
This is the beginning of the tipping point.

The above link, is available to make a contribution in the continued fight for GMO labeling and protecting the new GMO labeling laws.

Hope some of you where able to listen to the Food Summit lectures, which where also helpful in sharing information on
how to stay healthy and what the negative health outcomes are for those who eat GMO's etc.

They had over 160,000 listening to their free presentations, in one day they gathered over 30,000 new listeners.

Here is a link: to recent replays, which are available for 24 hours after a live presentation:

Glyphosate Residues in Food May Also Be a Significant Health Threat

Americans in particular also have to contend with the fact that a vast majority of our processed foods contain unlabeled genetically engineered ingredients that tend to be heavily contaminated with the toxic herbicide glyphosate (the active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup). Experts like Dr. Don Huber strongly believe that glyphosate is actually more toxic than DDT, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) recently reclassified glyphosate as a class 2 A carcinogen.20,21,22

The US EPA has now announced that US regulators may start testing for glyphosate residues on food in the near future to quell consumer concerns. But while that's good news, it's also worth noting that the EPA raised the allowable limits for glyphosate in food in 2013, and the allowable levels may now be too high to protect human health, based on mounting research.

Where to Find the Most Wholesome Food

Organic foods are generally preferable, as this also cuts down on your pesticide and GMO exposure. If you're unsure of where to find wholesome local food, the following organizations can help:

https://www.localharvest.org/-- This Web site will help you find farmers' markets, family farms, and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area where you can buy produce, grass-fed meats, and many other goodies.

Eat Wild - Find Your State With more than 1,400 pasture-based farms, Eatwild's Directory of Farms is one of the most comprehensive sources for grass-fed meat and dairy products in the United States and Canada.

Agricultural Marketing Service - Farmers Markets and Local Food Marketing -- A national listing of farmers' markets.

Eat Well Guide :: Home: Wholesome Food from Healthy Animals -- The Eat Well Guide is a free online directory of sustainably raised meat, poultry, dairy, and eggs from farms, stores, restaurants, inns, and hotels, and online outlets in the United States and Canada. (Note: Dr. Campbell recommends keeping animal products below 20% of your diet, to prevent turning on the cancer gene; which he proved in his research)

https://girlcooksworld.com/-- The FoodRoutes "Find Good Food" map can help you connect with local farmers to find the freshest, tastiest food possible. On their interactive map, you can find a listing for local farmers, CSAs, and markets near you.

Information is from Dr. Mercola's recent newsletter

Monsanto Doesn't Want You to Know What's in Your Food
Call 866-772-3843 and Tell Your U.S. Rep:
Vote NO on Monsanto's Dream Bill — H.R. 1599!

We all deserve the right to know what's in the food we eat and feed our families.

Update: More than 2,000 calls have gone into members of Congress, but we need more! We are expecting the House of Representatives to vote on Monsanto's Dream Bill this week. Here are some ways you can help stop this terrible pro-Monsanto bill before the vote:

-- There's still time to make a call (or to make another one!) Call 866-772-3843 and you'll be connected to a staffer in your Rep's office. Use the script below to tell your Rep to vote NO on H.R. 1599.

Simply tell the staffer your name, where you're from and say:

"I'm a constituent and I care about my right to know what's in the food I eat. I want my representative to vote NO on H.R. 1599 and to support legislation to require mandatory GMO labeling (H.R. 913)."

-- Forward the email below to your network, or share on social media. Companies like Monsanto are lobbying hard for this bill, so we need many more people contacting Congress to protect our right to know what's in our food.

-- Send a personalized message to Congress. Form emails show our strength in numbers, but we know that members of Congress pay close attention to personal messages. Add a few lines about why this issue is important to you to make your message stand out.
