It's pretty bad that we the people have to spend all our time fighting and petitioning to stop the govt from doing what it shouldn't do in the first place. They and the politicians make a mockery out of the word "democracy".
As you pointed out the laws are past for the corporations (who own the politicians and paid for their campaigns).
It would be nice if some lawyers sued them from trying to pass and/or passing laws that hurt people.
Bloomberg said: they were taking GMO's out of Cheerios which was what we have been working and waiting for: the tipping point. It is starting to happen. The corporations will feel it in their pocket books and to boost profits, will remove GMO's from their products because we the customer's aren't going to buy GMO's.
That is the grass root method. Monsanto may have bought Washington but we the people, each and every single one of us, as a group can make a difference and we are starting to see it manifest!!!!

Our government might not have our best interests at heart but we can change that.
Corporations should not have the ability to get a foot hold in our governement, it is like having a wolf watching the hen house.
Government and Corporations should be separate, just as church and state are separate.
Monsanto people should not be in the FDA, Congressmen should not when they leave office go work as a lobbiest for corporations because their votes are bought while in office, with the guarantee of becoming a lobbiest for corporations with huge big salaries. Congressmen should not get campaign funding from corporations etc. Our system is broken but having said that, we can make positive changes and we are seeing that today with Cheerios.
Other companies have also removed GMO's from their products but Cheerios is a big brand and this is the beginning of the domino's. I am waiting and looking forward to here from Kellogg's and Hersey etc.
As a trader, as we here more and more about GMO's leaving the grocery shelf, that will affect: Soy, Corn, Sugar and Canola Oil.
Cheerios ingredients: WHole Grain Oast, Corn Starch, Sugar, etc. SO the two GMO's are Corn Starch and Sugar.
The beginning of a nice trade in the future?

Last year in the USA, they tried to make it illegal to grow your own food.
People found out, called their representatives and congress people and we the people stopped it.
Now they are trying another way of stopping small farmers and individuals from growing their own food.
If this gets passed in Europe they will try and get America to sign up for it, saying it is needed because of international trade agreements etc.
Let's hope they do not pass that in Europe.
I can't imagine the European people allowing this to take hold because they are more informed and have resisted GMO's so strongly in the past.
The thing I don't understand is, the elite eat organic food: Obama, Romney etc. How are they going to get their organic food? Will they be breaking the law?
Let's hope the above law doesn't get passed.
Note: Heirloom seeds are organic but also bring biodiversity to the mix, which we so need.
What the fck kind of bullsht is this....just another example of how this country is going to sht..supreme court is a sick joke.
