Still anxiously awaiting your feelings bout whether Ann Romney or Michele Obama came out ahead in the First Lady Debate a few nights ago.

Is there a link to a recording of the first lady debate? From what I've seen of both: Ann Romney had to be convinced by Mitt to run again this last time. Michele Obama is just scary imo. just my feeling that she wants to be back in the white house another four years more than President Obama does.

Third Party Debates:

Actual debate coverage starts 1h 10m into video I believe, have not watched it yet so let me know.

Ironic that RussiaToday is streaming this, and all the major American networks refused to touch it...

Mike

Thanks. I saw the RT ad that they were going to do the 3rd party debates, but then got caught up with things. Will definitely watch before the election. I agree it's interesting to see RT is so willing to dig in the "truth" about American politics and economics with so many great shows and topics and disturbing they are aware of so much about the internal issues more than most of the brainwashed masses are. Maybe it helps their long term planning to indirectly promote dissent and division in the U.S. Russia is still pretty much a failed democracy with Putin seemingly re-electing for life.

RussiaToday (RT) would be much more successful news organization if they would rename themselves. Perhaps to DemocracyToday or etc, then people wouldn't be turned off by the name before they got to know the organization.

Top 10 donors and their contributions to any member of the House and Senate, their opponents, and the presidential candidates. Maplight pulls down up-to-date campaign-financing figures from the Federal Election Commission, which are fed into a database so the widget stays current.

This is pretty cool.

I would agree Big Mike, good idea. And I think it would be even better if the RT-America division was bought off and funded by some American sponsored libertarian or independently minded movement with wealth to do so. But hard to imagine that could ever happen today. Ugh, just realized RT is totally Russian state sponsored with no commercials except for their own programming. Well maybe someone at PBS could wise up and make it more like RT-America, but hard to imagine with no commercial incentive and no state or public mandate to do so, and there's more worries about Big Bird at PBS in the spotlight.

@Victory Trader posted an alarming cover up story:

Global Poll: Obama Overwhelmingly Preferred to Romney - World Public Opinion

Quoting
A new 21-nation poll for BBC World Service indicates that citizens around the world would strongly prefer to see Barack Obama re-elected as US President rather than his Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

The poll of 21,797 people, conducted by GlobeScan/PIPA between July 3 and September 3, 2012, indicates that Obama is preferred to Romney in 20 of the 21 countries polled. Overall, an average of 50 per cent would prefer to see Obama elected, compared to only 9 per cent who prefer Romney. The rest express no preference between the two.

Of all the countries polled, France is currently the most strongly pro-Obama, with 72 per cent wanting him to be re-elected and just 2 per cent preferring Romney. Australia (67%), Canada (66%), Nigeria (66%), and the UK (65%) are among the other countries with large majorities favouring Obama.

Pakistan, where 14 per cent want to see Romney elected compared to 11 per cent who prefer Obama, is the only country where the current President is not the favoured candidate--but here, three-quarters (75%) express no opinion. The countries with the largest proportions favouring Mitt Romney are Kenya (18%) and Poland (16%).
