Once again, I'm not quite sure if this is the correct location to start this thread. So, please, Mr. Moderator Man, give
me a hand

I'm not really sure if it's correct to start this thread period, but here we go...

I thought of something while I was out on the tractor ( this happens a lot lol )

What if we formed a company along the lines of Topstep Trader (call lawyer now) - Like... Big Mike Trading Co. or the like..

1. I believe we already have the best talent in the world right here.
2. I think the coaches already know who they are.
3. If I were to make money for anyone, I would want it to be the cats in this community who have given so much.
4. We have great code talent.
5. I bet there is pretty good access to capital for the start up.
6. We will use the platforms we are already using (if this is possible). At least one that has a chart trader. Say NT.

So what do you guys think? Let's start our own brokerage, farm system, mega-conglomerate!!!

OK ... someone tell me I got a little too much sun on the tractor

Curious to see the responses on this idea. After being with TST for a few weeks, I have been thinking about some of the same ideas. The stuff FT71 is doing only adds fuel to these ideas

Capital, logistics, and legalese come to mind as some of the potential (but surmountable ) obstacles.

Good thoughts, TD, thx for posting

I slightly renamed the thread so it was less confusing.

I am sorry to report, I have zero interest in this. I am busy enough!

What it comes down to is ....why if I'm doing alright on my own do I want to get involved with anything else.

I'm not saying it in a nasty way...just saying

And I think that's a great point, kbit. Whether it's here, there, or anywhere it wouldn't be for everyone. Absolutely agree.

I'm not totally buying into the 'doing alright ... why get involved' thing. If I remember correctly, you've involved yourself by contributing over 3,000 posts. It may not be starting a remote trading group and structured learning environment, but it is involvement. It's just been in the direction and to the extent that suits your needs, ideas, etc. Which is awesome and the futures.io (formerly BMT) community has benefited from that involvement. Hopefully you have benefited as well

Again, it just comes back to doing your thing. There is an endless list of people who had no logical reason to do anything else (Gates, Jordan, Jobs, Edison, Favre, Buffett, Hefner, blah, blah, blah), but they kept getting involved.

And, in line with your qualifier, I wrote these things with only positive intentions.

Thx for your thoughts, kbit
