The gray shark, also known as the bluntnose sixgill shark, is an extremely rare species of shark, according to the experts: "This ancient species predates most dinosaurs and is a dominant predator of the deep-sea ecosystem." For more than 150 million years the gray shark has hardly changed genetically. It is therefore often referred to as a living fossil. Only recently did a video go viral that was supposed to confirm the alleged existence of the megalodon.
