Today I discovered this nice thread as I was searching for a place to post the following. So here we go:

Well, now that we have arrived at the month of October in the annual cycle, following are some OT thoughts about the month of October:
Black Friday (1929) and Black Monday (1987) are events that shook the financial and economical world in the months of Octobers.
