now for something completely different... The Moscow Metro
That's funny you said that about RT doing better coverage, I've been thinking the same thing for a while now.
I've seen several interviews with various people and on different subjects and have noticed that they go into more depth and spend more time as opposed to the standard 5 minute stuff we are accustomed to.
Without question the most aesthetically impressive metro system I have ever seen, out of all the places I've traveled. The stations are palatial, ornate, with high ceilings, grand arches, statues, architectural details, marble and granite everywhere. The system also seems to be built like 500 ft underground. When you step on to the escalators from street level, you actually cannot see the end of the escalator at the bottom. Never had any safety issues in the Moscow system, but I did have a pick pocket incident in St Petersburg.
