Funny part about it is I have no idea what the lyrics to Africa, 99, or any song by Toto means, but I like how they sound. That was the times you could get away with making a love song about an arbitrary number like 99. When I first heard them I thought it was something with Phil Collins. That being said 95% of the music I listen to and find decent I have no idea what is being said in them.
The older I get and maybe after the thousandth time listening to the song I start question what it means in part because it's so damn confusing.
