Saw the Walk today, loved it. Even better than the documentary they released about it few years ago.

I watched Mission Impossible 5 over the weekend. Have to say, it was pretty terrible.

On the other hand, I watched Trainwreck and have to say it was pretty funny.

Watched No Escape yesterday.
Excellent movie. Not as good as Behind The Enemy Lines which I watched several times... amazing movie.
If any of you like thrillers, you should not miss Behind The Enemy Lines.
Owen Wilson did a superb job in both movies.

I was avoiding No Escape because of Owen, he seems like a wrong fit for this type of movie. But I may give it a try regardless, the ratings are good.

If you watched Behind the Enemy Lines, you wouldn't have said that he was a wrong fit. He is not very handsome or charismatic like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise but he did excellent job in both movies.

Watched "Youth". One of the most beautifully directed films I've ever seen. Very abstract, about getting old.

Highly recommended, if you are patient -- it is rewarding.

My StarWars notes:

- The future seems quite British,
- ... and has a serious problem with absent fathers and resulting daddy issues.
- the middle management of Evil is again British and is possibly from Harry Potter or the gay wing @ Oxford. (not that there is anything wrong with that)
- pigs can fly
- JJ Abrams did a good job
- the annoying robot (C-3PO) is portrait as such
- girls can fly
- Luke lives in Scotland
- there are female Yodas - answering that question.
- the future has good dentists, but few opticians
- there are female storm troopers
- overall the future is very PC
- the new death-star has sanitation
- Leia & Han Solo suck as parents
- also parenting seems hard in general
- old trash can fly

Looks good.

I watched the first ep a few days ago, I love the show. I think anyone on this website will like it. Can't wait for episode 2 to come out, I think Suits might have some competition now.

It's about a hedge fund manager that doe's insider trading and the U.S. Attorney is trying to take him down.

Has anyone seen The Martian? No spoilers please, I am waiting until it hits Bluray before I watch it, so probably January.

I am hoping it is good! So far IMDB is showing 8.3 which is really fantastic!

Yes, fantastic film. On Twitter don't read Neil deGrasse Tyson's tweets, he spoiled it for me.

I watched Ex Machina. It has a 7.9 rating on IMDB:

Ex Machina (2015) - IMDb

I think it was 8.2 on IMDB when I first looked at it. Anyway, good movie, but I was expecting more action. I would consider it slow and steady, but no real thriller, no real action. It wasn't boring but I would have been happier if more happened.

I enjoyed the ending, and hope they make a sequel.

Mike

I actually loved this one, although it portrayed the whole concept of robotics and AI way too unrealistically in my view, we won't get to that level in a 100 years.

There's another one called Automata, with Antonio Banderas and Dylan McDermoot. It has more action than Ex Machina but portrays robotic AI in a much more realistic way, and it's a pretty good movie as well in my view.

I would recommend

Sicario - Drama/Action
Spotlight - Drama/Biography
Bridge of Spies - Drama/Biography/Thriller
The Revenant - Epic/Drama/West
The Big Short - Drama/Biography
The Hateful Eight - Drama/West (only if you like Tarantino's films)
Joy - Comedy/Drama
Chappie - Action/Sci-Fi
The Intern - Comedy
The Martian - Space/Adventure/Drama
Ex Machina - Sci-Fi/Drama

Best immortal man movie since The Man from Earth but not as.... thinky.

BIG spoiler alert, don't watch past about 1:25 on trailer as working out who he is will be ruined.

Hey, try this REMOVED website. At least movies are in good quality and without problems you can download them. For me it's great, especially when i go to trip

How about not making posts linking to illegal & infected content?

Yeh I thought that was good, can understand why he can grate..... I struggled with Anchorman 2, but liked The Campaign. Have been ticking quite a few off recently.

Coming in 2017, 12 oil paintings per second, all done by over 100 painters trained in the same style.

First ever fully painted movie.

Just finished on Netflix. Great film. I love films like this that are small and still very deep. Reminds me of Buried with Ryan Reynolds.

I found this film last night on TV when i was randomly flicking through channels. It's very similar to the movie Rogue Trader.

Synopsis:

Team Spirit also called L’outsider is based on the true story of Jerome Kerviel, who was a futures trader for the French investment bank Société Générale. The movie tracks the rise and fall of Kerviel who gambled big time on the DAX, FTSE and Eurostoxx futures contracts. The size of Kerviel trades were so large it took him days to scale in and out of trades. By the time his unauthorized trading was discovered losses exceeded more than $5 billion euros for his Firm. This all happened just as the 2008 financial crisis was unfolding.

I just watched this movie on Netflix. It isn't Academy Award material but if you're interested in markets / Wall Street then it is definitely worth watching.

You can see that the Metascore is higher than the surprisingly low User rating:
