lol, Kudlow saying Matt Damon's new movie "Elysium" is a "socialist" promoting movie and is going to bomb.
( a bit after the "Hollywood anti-fracking" & Yoko-Ono talk )

From what I've ready, I think they learned their lesson and put it in a better wrapper than Promised Land. But yeah, I rolled my eyes after reading the plot line and thought OMG not another one of these.

So basically forced into watching The Hobbit, which I actually liked better than any of the LOTR movies, I dunno I guess because seemingly less running and far less of the truly obnoxious precious guy, but you know, when the climatic solution to save the day is something you could have done in the beginning of the movie negating all the stupid shit you had to go through to reach the climatic solution, then that's just some really stupid shit. Right? Why not just call the eagles at the beginning? For that matter, why not just call the eagles at the beginning of all of the LOTR movies, cuz it's not like you haven't done it before. Worked pretty freakin good first time, so...maybe just do that.

Hi Vegas. Glad you liked the Hobbit. About the puzzle as to why the eagles don't do everything for them. Without going to all the detail and subtext which can be found on Tolkien forums, Tolkien's Middle Earth stories are very heavily Christian themed and paralleled. Miracles happen or are divinely sanctioned. Jackson provided a lot of clues and subtext of the book details in the background and the music has clues too like in the elvish sung lyrics choral sections. If anyone wants to explore the LOTR world more, the "Silmarillion" pretty much explains a lot of the history behind the scenes.

With the news Star Wars Episode VII was to be shot on 35mm celluloid film by Star Trek:Into Darkness director, J.J. Abrams.

Star Wars Episode VII will be shot on 35mm film to recapture 70s feel - Telegraph

I was curious about digitally filmed vs. traditional celluloid filmed movies. And saw this link.

I enjoyed it too. Also liked Morgan Freeman's role

OK, I know this is a 2009 movie, but it's the best one I've seen this year:

"The Invention of Lying"

Those of you who haven't seen it, you HAVE TO! I guarantee it's worth the 1.5 hour of your life!

And please don't watch the trailer, I usually don't like to watch trailers because sometimes it shows too much of the movie already.
